I needs money and I am sooooooooooo???????oooo bad at earning it!

I tried the island, too baad at catching bugs, too bad at fishing. I don't get a lot from mr money rock and I don't have anything to sell here...HELLLPPPPP?

Well just asking for it wont really work sorry :( i dont know how otherwise than catching bugs and fishing, thats my way of income.

Turnips. Buy turnips and sell them at a profit.
And, honestly, catching bugs on the island just takes some practice and isn't really very difficult. You can make around 400k in one trip after 8 p.m.

Turnips and Bug Catching are probably the best way to go. Turnips aren't hard. Because this forum gets people with high selling prices almost every day, it makes turnips pretty low risk and high reward.

And once you learn the trick to catching the beetles that are more sensitive to movement then catching is a snap. The real trick is having patience.

If you have a popular villager that you don't want or have some extra stuff to sell, maybe you could make some bells off of the Re-Tail or Villager Plaza boards.

You can also plant a ton of perfect fruit trees in your town, harvest them, and then sell in someone's town that doesn't have the same fruit.

you can also sell your tbt bells on the tbt marketplace. most offer around 650k in-game bells for 100 tbt bells.

For me when catching bugs on the island, i remove everything in the center.
Left those trees around the beach, and slowly walk.
Once i spotted a bug, press A amd slowly walk to it.
Fish i only catch those with fins, listen to the splash sound.
U would get 300k and above for each run.
Other than that, as others suggest, turnips.

Definitely turnips, that's how I made the most profit. I dunno if it's still active or not but there used to be a spreadsheet circulating with a bunch of people recording their turnip prices for the morning and afternoon along with premium item(s) for the day. Other that check the Turnip Pricing thread or any individual topic people make, along with /r/ACTurnip if you don't mind using Reddit.

And there are already loads of threads on here about making money

Making bells where the island is concerned, it's definitely best to save those bug/fishing trips for 6 PM-anytime after 8 PM. You can rake in over hundreds of thousands of bells.

You can make more that way if you learn the prices for certain bugs/fish. For example, some of the fish I always let go are any sea bass/squid/puffer fish/fruit beetles because they are generally only a few hundred bells at best. The box that you put your items in to carry home only has a limited amount of space- fill it with the expensive bugs/fish you catch!!! This works really good when you go during the evening/nightly hours.

Always keep sharks. I tend to catch at least 4-7 sharks when I go to the island during the evening. Napoleanfish are good to keep because they sell at 10,000 bells a piece. The same for Rainbow Stag beetles. I have been offered 12,000 bells for napoleanfish, though. You should look fish and bugs up on the animal crossing wiki to learn prices.

And for any bugs, there is a only a limited amount that can be on the island at a time. If you see any cheap bugs around, scare them away for a bigger chance that a rare one appears.

It definitely!!!!!!! makes a difference to know their prices when you're making a bell trip to the island.

When I sucked at making bells, the island was the best place. You can make 1m pretty quickly there.

The reason why you don't get much money from the money rock is because you're not quick enough. You should be able to get at most 16,100 bells from it - if you do it properly. You only have 10 seconds to hit the rock 8 times, but due to the recoil after hitting it, you lose time to reposition yourself.

Here's a diagram of how to get the best out of the money rock. Also, it's a good idea to use a silver shovel as it gives a chance of producing gems instead of money (Which you can then keep until Re-Tail buys for premium, then you get more out of it).

( . ) = Empty space
( R ) = Rock
( P ) = Player
( H ) = Hole

. . . . . .
. . R . . .
. . . P H .
. . . H . .

(Sorry for the crappy diagram ;-; )
Basically what you want to do is to have something keep you in place so you aren't pushed back.
- Stand diagonally to the rock.
- Dig 2 holes as shown in the diagram
Now you won't bounce back as the rock supports you, allowing you to snag 16,100 (or possibly 9 ores if you use a silver shovel)

I know it isn't much, but hopefully this will solve your problem with the money rock ^^"
