SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE HELP I NEED PLOT SETTING EXPERTISE!

OKAY

So, a villager has set up their plot in my town. However, I don't want that villager in my town. At all. Is there any possible way for me to get another villager to set up their plot instead? I've never plot reset-ed, but is there some way for me to set the time on my 3DS to 6am, to reset the day, and the villager will change, is that a thing?

If you booted up as your mayor or any pre-existing player, unfortunately you're out of luck.
From my understanding, plot resetting involves booting up as a new player every time until you're satisfied with the outcome.

The way to plot reset is to predict a villager moving in and creating a new character to scout their house plot.
As soon as you load up any character within your town, the games data for that day is already saved.
So unfortunately, there is no way to reverse the villager's plot after you have already loaded your mayor or any other character.

If it's a random, yes. If it's a StreetPass, no.

Unless, of course, you've already uploaded an existing save file. Then there's nothing you can do.

Yes, if you have 8 villagers and a random is moving in.

If you have already loaded with an existing save file, no. If you made a new character to load the game, yes. Just keep plot resetting.

Plot resetting a natural villager move-in also causes the villager to be reset causing them to be changed.
Most of the time, they will all be in the same personality group if your town is lacking a certain personality.
However, you can only change the villager moving in if you are also resetting their house plot.
So as said as before, By this point there is nothing you can do.

So, some background to my towns situation. I had 9 villagers, Rudy moved out a few days ago, and so I've been waiting for a natural move in from my new 9th villager. It's a random move, I wasn't expecting a specific villager type, as I already have them all.

So the general consensus is there is no possible way to change the villager who is moving in? I don't care about their location in my town, in fact it couldn't be more perfect! I just wish it was a perfect animal!

Unfortunately not, the day you get a random move in you have to load with a /brand new/ character for you to be able to plot set. Once the file of your town is loaded by a pre-existing resident (like your mayor's file) the villager and it's placement are set in stone. :[

The moment you load up any character living in your town, the town's data is already saved for that day.
Also, it really isn't a general consensus, It's really just a fact.
Good luck dealing with the new move-in though, We've all been through it.

Ah, well, hopefully they will just ask to move out soon... They're not a bad villager, at all, I just don't want them in my town!
