I can give some advice for cross breeding hybrids:
1. Plant two flowers diagonal to each other with nothing around them as below: X is flower O is empty space-
OOOO
OXOO
OOXO
OOOO
2. Only water the flowers you have set up as in #1. Every flower you water that is next to another flower of the same species has the ability to sprout a new flower by morning (to breed). If you only water the flowers you want to cross breed- you can control which flowers breed. Example:
- If you want a blue pansy, set up three or four sets of white pansies in the diagonal placement stated above. Only water the white pansies. Chances of getting a blue pansy is then very very high.
I recommend going after only 1 kind of hybrid at a time- otherwise you may find you have a lot of say, orange pansies and no blue ones, even after weeks of watering. Pick the hybrid you want, breed for only that color. Then move on to the next.
If your villagers water flowers- simply pick them up and replant so that they are not next to a flower of their same species. Thus preventing them from breeding.
Since any flowers you don't water may wilt, it is recommended to have the beautiful town law.
