Island
Peachy
Sooo I've been playing since July and this is all the progress I've made so far (ignore the stuff built cliff near the airport I demolished and it's flat but this is the only picture I have). I looked everywhere for inspo or tutorials or just anything but couldn't find a single island with the same resident services as me. I'm tempted to reset but I don't want to lose my villagers and items. What would you suggest I should do or rather, if you have this same placement, what did you do to make look "good"?

I've never built from a completely flattened island before but here is how I would approach it.
I would start at the airport and start working on an entrance that leads up to your resident services building since that is pretty close. And from there build whatever feels the most natural thing for that to lead on to.

Ignore the fact you have a whole island to do, focus on a small section and think "what should go here"

I have the exact same RS location and I can agree that it's a bit of a pain.
I wish I had words of encouragement for you but truthfully I haven't figured mine out either.

The only idea I have for mine is to raise the area around it so the RS and airport are in a small closed off valley and then make some sort of path out of said valley. Haven't began to work on this yet so I can't say if it'll look good at all.

Hooboy, I feel your struggle! At least yours is a little offset.

I've gone through a few different iterations, but the one I stuck with the longest had this really magnificent entrance.
(I am le terrible at designing the rest of the island, though.)

There are several entrance builds on Youtube for folks like us with a very close RS. Try searching around!
