I have Lolly (natural camper not an amiibo) at my current campsite and I would like to her to move in. When I ask she agrees but resident services says the island is full, but she could ask another villager to move out... Said villager is Reneigh and I don't want her to move out. Is there any other method to get another villager out?

I searched for answers and one redditor claimed this:

"Ive only had once where they asked to replace a certain villager. Usually they say "resident services suggest these people might want to move, who should it be?" And shows me a list of all my villagers for me to choose.

Im not sure what determines how they ask."

Can anyone co-sign on that?

***PS- Please do not pm asking for Lolly or Reneigh. This is a general Q & A. I am looking for answers.

Pretty sure natural campsite campers will pick a random villager, which in your case is Reneigh. The only time you can pick, from what I've seen, are amiibo campers.

I have read that there is a way to change who they ask to move.

If you talk to them, and they pick someone you don't want to move out, immediately hit home and close the game before you finish the dialogue. Then you can go back to the campsite and ask again, and they should choose a different villager. It's important you don't let the dialogue finish or it autosaves - then there is no way to change it. ^^

I thought that too, but it was already too late.

Next question, can someone from another island pick her up if their island isn't full?

I don't believe you can ask campsite villagers from other islands to move to your island, no. ):
