I Need an Axe!

Leif, why do you do this to me? I've had a dead tree in my town for at least five days now, and it's all because Leif refuses to sell an axe. It's always a watering can! If anyone has an axe in Leif's store or an extra axe, I'd really love to come get it. Thanks in advance!
