I need advice... I need HELP.

I honestly don't know what to do
I'm considering buying ANOTHER animal crossing game and restarting
(I'd restart this town but if you visit it you'll see why I just can't)

My paths are terrible, but my villagers are in a bad place.
Most of them moved in way before I knew anything about plot setting.

I just want to make my town nice again. I need to get rid of a TON of flowers and sell a lot of junk but I still don't know what to do with my town. ​

... I haven't visited the town but by what you are describing it sounds like all things that can easily be fixed but are too lazy to just fix.

Paths can easily just be brushed away.
Can even have other users come help.

Flowers can easily be ran through or sold... or users can just come through and take if you don't want them.
Same with items laying around if that's the problem. Organize and sell them or just have a giveaway where people just come, take 1, and leave.

Any villager placement can be worked with... and if it is disliked that much they can always be moved out then gotten back at a later date after the 16 villager cycle if you actually like the villager and don't want to replace them... which if you hate all their placement you will have to get rid of most anyways which makes it easier and have to try and get them back again anyways if you reset.

... just my input.

If it is a map or town name problem. That's an other story.

My town isn't perfect, either. I may be able to give some sort on input, though.

I visited your town of WoodBury. Your town has a pretty decent lay out in general. Your town is just... polluted with items everywhere. All you need to do is just pick up everything. And about your patterns, you just need to pick all those up and lay down new ones. This process should take you no more than 3 hours at most.

Honestly, I don't think your villagers or your paths are all that bad. You do have a lot of items on the ground, though, that I think you should consider getting rid of.

Break everything down into straightforward, manageable steps:

1) take a shovel to extra flowers, or sell them if you really need the bells.

2) while destroying extra flowers, wipe out paths and pick up junk.

3) sell junk at Re-Tail.

Do it in short doses, using the 20/10 approach. 20 minutes of work, 10 minutes of breaktime. While you're doing this, you might get ideas about how to further develop your town. That has always been the case with me- something that I didn't like about my map, or my villager placement forced me to get creative, and come up with a solution, and now I can't imagine my town without that "flaw."

Working with what you have takes a bit more creativity than reloading again and again for the "perfect" map, with the "perfect" villagers, etc, but it's worth it, in my opinion. You can do it! I'll visit your town when I get back from classes.

Thanks everyone, and to the person that said i was too lazy to do the work. You are right. lol a lot of my stuff IS junk, but I can't sell the stuff until I know what is DLC and what's not. What's orderable and what's not. The villagers houses are in a terrible spot I'm not too worried about them because I know I can move them to my cycle town and plot reset where I really want them to go.

Hirisa, I think you have a good idea with the 20/10 approach I just am so overwhelmed with the items on the ground AND in the house. I know a good majority of things can be sold or given away to players. Which I will probably just do a giveaway because selling requires too much effort.

I am at your shoes at the beginning of my game, I look at other's town via dream or visit or screen shot...then goes "uhh how come people can have such a nice beautiful town? But now my own town is my perfect creation~ Villager in bad spot? MOVE THEM OUT! Get a new one~ or do the 16 cycle and you still can get them back, then try the plot reset trick.

Path is a mess? RUB ALL OFF! they can be easily replace anyway~ doesn't like what you find on site? Make one! Nobody can come to your town and say you got one ugly path! So? you spend the majority time in your town so your concern matter only.

Items? Sell the orderable away, give the unorderable to players, make a big big giveaway and you will have something else in return (a thank, an appreciation and even wifi rating!)

No town is bad, it all depends how you make it better =D And a town is not build in one night, it takes time to months~ Just work things out slowly while enjoy the game sweetly =D
