I need advice and help from experts

I started playing animal crossing the day after Christmas of 2014. I have not tt etc . I did not read about it before starting, so ended up with eyes that I hate but I went ahead and made my three other characters.
I did not plan ahead on my trees, flowers etc as I knew nothing of the game.
I finally have my house almost all upgraded and have quite a bit of money, a few hybrids...less than 100 maybe 50.

I am getting a new ds XL when they come out in a few weeks and was thinking of starting a new animal crossing and getting the mayor how I want them to look and then just transferring items and money over from my original town.

I wondered if it was possible to turn my original town then into a cycle town to make money and then the other to have to live in with the mayor that I like.
Or would that not work?
ANy suggestions would be helpful.

I have just recently bought a second cart to play a cycling town, I think it's a great idea

You can also transfer any of your villagers that you like in the current town, before you start cycling. It also means that you don't have to delete your original village and lose everything, whilst still getting the "perfect" village on your new one!
