I miss playing hide and seek with villagers

I remember playing hide and seek with them in older games and I found that a cute way to make use of your island and spend time with your neighbors.

Nowadays in NH, all we have is the treasure hunt, which is over pretty fast and is kind of sad. Plus, I haven't played it with a neighbor in weeks now. It's just hard to be able to have fun experiences with villagers these days. Idk, maybe I'm just being picky or something. Anyone else feel this?

Yeah, I like terra forming and decorating, but not everyone does. It would be nice if the game had a little more things to do.

Yeah it was always really fun to play hide and seek with villagers in past games.

Only mini game in NH right now is the dang treasure hunt which always gives me awful rewards lol.

Need more minigames we can play with villagers, I’d love to have like races with my jocks around the island, or fish/bug catching contests with my villagers.

oof i miss this too! i loved how bad the villagers were at hiding lmao- i really wish they asked us to do more "missions" more often. i've only been asked to treasure hunt once and i play this game a! lot!

rly missing these little things. i used to say the game had to be fully finished before release but then u get villagers saying things like "i hope to visit ur house soon" or something along those lines and its like :| you can't i have to go to harvey's island and pretend u can. the new ways villagers interact with their environment and each other is cool but i miss the old things like hide and seek. treasure hunting isnt a good replacement imo

I do too! It was one of my favorite games that i not only played on my own town with my villagers, but also played it when i visited torty island.

Wait, is there a way to play treasure hunt with your neighbors? How do you enable it?

Regrading the hide and seek part, I’d love if they added in an update, it was really fun to find yo villagers hidden in the dumbest spots lol

I've never had any of my neighbours mention anything about a Treasure Hunt, I wish
I feel like the villagers personalities are definately blander in this game, if you have more than one villager of the same personality type they will literally say the exact same things to you (I know it's wishful thinking but why can't each animal have their own unique personality and dialogue directly linked to them?). So far I've only had villagers ask me to catch things for them which is boring. In New Leaf they'd ask for that, they'd ask you if they could visit your house / you visit theirs (and then when you did visit them you could buy one of their furniture items out of their house), and they'd ask you to play Hide And Seek.
I was hoping so so badly that New Horizons would bring back one of my favorite features from Wild World; the yard sales that you and your villagers would host inside your houses.

Villagers was probably one of the most dissapointing things for me in New Horizons. I was shocked at how serious a downgrade they've taken. I just don't bother to talk to them anymore because it's the same recycled text that they say every single day. I hope they roll out and update actually giving them life and personality.

I definitely miss it too! I also miss them coming over to my house wish they add more interactions later on
