I really miss the old Phyllis, she was so mean spirited in GC,, and even in WW tbh, now she is just generic tbh, and isn't even mean at all? her grey mutters are just neutral, and say please close the door or something.. it really does suck, how much they have watered her personality down

I feel they watered down many characters in NL... in a way it's good thing, because I got tired of scrolling through all their dialogue. They've kept it clean and tight this time around. But it does take away from their personalities admittedly. :/

I feel like they made all the "mean" characters less mean. Like they don't want to hurt children's feelings or something. The cranky villagers aren't even really cranky.

yeah, it's a shame because they're pretty much put ten tonnes of dialogue for every other character (isabelle and blathers for instance) who don't even require it. i think if they're going to use a ton of text at least use it to develop a character's personality like phyllis.
