I saved it when it was hideous before. And I wish I never updated it because I miss seeing my town when it was under developed. It was a reminder of how far I had come. But one day a "purple" sunset that I thought was rare happended and made me impulsively save my town. It was in a state very ssimilar to how I have it now so it isnt very satisfying to visit it anymore. Worst part is, it wasnt even the special sunset. I saved for no reason.
Does anyone miss seeing how their town looked in the earlier days?
Mine looked pretty gnarly but I know how you feel !
It was a world of difference than how it looks now, not too long ago I tried visiting an old address but I could not quite get it to work.
My first ever town was like last May, I had no idea that you couldn't change your town name. So I named mine Midna after my cat It was super underdevloped but I do like to go back and look at the dream town (so basic though) but I feel like sometimes I get caught up in my town and needing everything to be perfect. Midna was so basic but it makes me happy
I missed my old dream addresses too. I really look back at my old towns to get into the nostalgic feelings of 2013 because 2013 was the year that I never been excited in my life that everything was very anticipating. Especially when the month of May arrived I got more excited than before. Especially when June arrived, I couldn’t believe that New Leaf was close to release. Every day I just got very excited about the new game, when I get close to release the hype only built up. When the game released I couldn’t wait to go get the game, but of course I had to go clothes shopping first. Yes I was very impatient, but after that I got the game and it was my best year in my life.
But now the update came and now I can’t view the old dream address I once had. Now the only way I can see them again is by the pictures I took.
I honeslty don't. New Town was so ugly :/ I think the DA still works, but maaan. I'm glad I reset it for Secret.
I did visit once, for old times sake to see how far along I came from New Town to Moriyo Village. New Town only makes me prouder of Moriyo. For the first 2, maybe 3 years of New Town's life, I never themed it. I didn't even know people did that to their towns. I played everything as is, put down PWPs where ever, ect... After a while I added pathwork cause the dirt spots started getting annoying. Once I decided I wanted to theme it, it wasn't easy. I went trouble multiple themes, constantly changing my mind, until one day I decide I wanted a magical themed town. I realized there was no way of accomplishing that in New Town, so I bought a second copy, to keep all my stuff. I was also getting kinda bored with that town, I did pretty much everything.
TL;DR Nope, I don't miss it. Instead I use it as a basis to see what I used to do, and how far I've come.
I think some of my old Da's are still kicking about, I didn't put in the dream suite until I was pretty far along (because I wanted it to be worth dreaming about) but I have a lot of screen shots from those days.
