So, I moved a new playable character into town, when the weather was intended to be cloudy. And sure enough, when that happens, it went to sunny by default, even on the TV. The next day, it was sunny as expected. I went to the island, and done a few games, and when I went back home, it was all rainy.

So, being the curious sort I am, I decided to try to replicate this.

So, I time traveled back a day to see what the weather for the next day was. Sure enough, it was cloudy before moving the new person in. So, I decided to move in a new PC.

It defaults to sunny. So, I moved her in, and went to the next day.

This was done the next day. So, I went to the island, and played a game.

After playing one game, I went back home, and... Well, it was rainy.

I think I may have found a glitch of sorts. If this isn't new, sorry for wasting everyone's time.

I may be wrong, but I know its not a glitch.

Whenever you make a new player, the weather is always sunny, until the next hour after you become resident it goes back to the current weather.

I'm always sad when it is going to be raining and I need to make a new character.

I like Paperboy's theory here but it has never been as quick as an hour in my experience. Even with alternate characters it seems to take the rain away for the rest of the day and then blend from 5 am to 6 am if it is meant to return to rain.

I'm not sure if I would call it a glitch - but Im going to experiment with this island trick!
