I love you, but I hate your house!

Pet peeve: when you totally love a villager but either the inside or the exterior of their house is terrible! (Hopefully not both..) Case in point:


Agent S is my best friend in-game. She's peppy and adorable and we hang out all the time. I really like her exterior, too.


But seriously, WHAT IS THIS? Are you a jock? Do you just really, really love concrete? Why, Agent S, why!?


I've been trying to get her to redecorate some but it's never going to be as cute as she deserves. That room is GRIM.

And how about Stitches here?


His interior is every bit as cute as him. And he's really easy to pick new items for, lots of stuff matches his look and aesthetic! Yay!


But ugh I really hate his exterior! It makes me think of a shack that a clown lives in. It's basically Bozo's outhouse. Definitely harshing the vibes of my more muted, natural town. SIGH.


Are there any villagers that you love with decorating sense that you really hate? Let's see!

oh, yes.
I am not a fan of Tex's house. just... meh. it gets worse when he gets new furniture in it, that may be why I'm not a fan.
and Stinky... he's not in my town currently, but his house... the exterior just isn't fitting for a jock, I don't think.
most of the other villagers, I just hate when they inevitably get new furniture. XD;; Alli's house is a mess.

i don't like bam's interior, i know it's meant to look like a gym but it just feels too crowded and cold, i've been trying to mail him some minimalist pieces but they look a bit odd in there too sigh

I hate the way Tabby's house looks like inside. I love her (I know I'm in the minority), I love her house exterior, but the interior doesn't match her at all.

I could get over Rolf since his exterior looks nice, but Kyle's was just so dilapidated I had to void him.

I like Kyle's interior... it matches his clothes and all the musical instruments. Same with Agent S, it's supposed to be a secret training spot.

I can't stand Astrid's exterior.

And I can't stand the rest of my villagers interior. Over the past two years, they have all collected a bunch of junk in their houses. Felicity is the worst. She has a gigantic fossil right in the middle of her house, a ton of shirts everywhere, and a couple of fish. I think the only original items she has in her house are her hammock and picnic table.

Yeah, I hadn't really thought of it that way and that is fun but still, augh. I wish it was just a little bit less grey, mostly. Or I wish she didn't have the one light yellow closet, it's so at odds with her workout gear and she doesn't seem to want to get rid of it. I've been mailing her modern furniture pieces and I think the overall house looking a bit better as she puts it out.

I miss her acgc version of her house. It was so much cooler! After I get my town done I plan to do a massive overhaul of all her furniture. I miss the kokeshi dolls...
