This hardly ever happens in my town, benches OR stumps. I only ever seen the zen bench get used once by Mott aaaages ago. Sat with him for a bit for the novelty. Was pretty adorable.

It's really cute when little villagers sit on the bench.. they look like they're standing on it. So cute! ^_^

I have a bench that only seems to be used every few months. I've never seen two villagers sit together. However, I often see the villagers sitting on a chair or sofa when I walk in their homes. So cute! ♥

My villagers rarely use the benches and stumps in the town. But once I caught Diana and Chester napping on the modern bench in front of the Cafe That's an area that gets a lot of traffic. I'm thinking of adding a log bench to my campsite area in hopes that it will get used, since villagers are always crossing the suspension bridge that's next to it.

I once caught Olaf sitting on a Yellow Bench next to my house, and I sat by his side and we looked to each other every now and then. I also caught Chief sleeping on a stump, and he looked so shocked when I woke him up! Haha!

Mint and Bunnie sat on my metal bench together once. They looked so cute and happy on there ^^
