Any suggestions on how to get my mojo back? I'm spending more time playing Super Smash Bros and Harvest Moon and this game just sits there, and I only go on to buy stuff from my shops. I'm not landscaping or talking to my villagers anymore or doing any projects. I used to always play this game. I need some inspiration.
It seems you are preoccupied with other games and that's perfectly fine. ACNL will always be waiting for you! I took a long break from it too, and I was playing Fantasy Life, Luigi's Mansion, Triforce Heroes and other Zelda games, and when I came back to ACNL, I came back much stronger and more passionate! I had way more ideas and I accomplished so much more because I gave myself a break. There's nothing wrong with that. Just play the games you are enjoying the most right now. Don't try to force yourself to be interested in ACNL. You'll burn out quicker because your heart isn't in it. So take a break, and you'll come back much stronger ^_^
I took about a year hiatus at one point, and I think maybe a 6 month one too...... just waiting to get bored again, haha
I think the reason why I got bored though is because of how I lowkey hated my town
I didn't like the villages, and I had hardly any PWP requests... I was also lacking inspiration on how to landscape my town. I decided to reset and even get a 2nd copy of the game, and now I'm totally into it again - I actually have plans for my town themes too
I recommend that you take a little break for a while. You'll find interest again, but not if you force yourself to play. Only play when you feel like playing. I know how easier said than done that is because villagers come and go, but there's several ways to avoid that. I'm speaking from experience when I say this because I know how it feels to lose interest in the game completely because I play almost everyday and i've lost interest a couple of times. But i've always found myself going back to it. If that's not an option, landscaping my town is what keeps me going. I'm sure there's tons of people who you can purchase supplies from on here.
Okay I'll take a break from AC for a bit. I'll take a break for a few weeks then go back and see how I'm feeling then. Thanks you guys. That's probably why I wasn't interested, because I was forcing myself to play.
yeah its a cycle for most people with animal crossing, lose interest from playing so much, leave it be for a few months, come back and it feels brand new
