I lost ACNL...

I have no idea where I put it. Since my mama decided that I was misbehaving(i wasnt) she took my ds and games for a month. I've had my DS back for three months now, and I haven't found ACNL yet. I sneaked into her room and looked in the draws that she hid them in, NOTHING. Should I just buy a digital/physical copy or just keep looking?

it might be at my nieces house but idk i've checked but i haven't searched y' know because its someone else's house

If you can't find it, then buy a used copy so you don't spend too much money. Sorry about your town.

Think where your mum is likely to hide it in. Then look in the complete opposite place

Think of the unexpected and most obvious places you haven't checked before. Don't give up too easily, you might as well have to reset your AC:NL game anyway since its been months.

have you actually asked your mum where it might be? she might have hidden it someplace seperate. but wa that sucks, the cartridges are so tiny it's really easy to lose them (rip harvest moon)

Yeah, i "lost" my cartridge a bit back. Was frantic but eventually found it on my bedside table. It'd slipped down between a couple things. Major relief lol Just keep looking, i'm sure it'll turn up when you least expect it and also do ask your mum, anyways. You never know.

My mom used to take games away from me because she thought it would get in the way of schoolwork. I would usually be able to find it. Try searching in drawers in places your mom spends a lot of time in. You might have to open some containers and flip the stuff in the drawers around a little to search

I would just keep looking or tell your mama about it. I mean if you can't find it she'll be the one who well me paying for the replacement I'm assuming, so she might want to help find it too.

This is part of the reason why I download my copy, well mainly because I lost all my game save data for my old GameCube harvest moon game when the memory card went missing during a move... and I thought my brother might have taken it but he didn't and then it was suuuper hard to find a new one to start again playing it on the wii because the GameCube was long ago un-cool at that point.

And the darn 3DS cartridges are even smaller!

It's one of the reasons I'm holding off on the idea of a second town

So did you lose it, or is your mom hiding it? It sounds like you think she's hiding it, in which case, that should be a pretty easy search (if she hides things, I'm sure you know most of her usual spots by now).

If you can remember the last time you played, you should check all around there. Like if you were on a couch, or your school bag was near you, or you were wearing jeans...maybe you stuffed it into your own hiding place, so she wouldn't get it, then forgot where you stuck it??

If you get a new one will you be paying for it, or your mom? If your mom has to pay for it, maybe she found it where you hid it, and she's hiding it to teach you a lesson about taking care of things?? I'm guessing she might know. Anyway, before I'd buy a new one, I'd at least ask her if she knows where it might be.

Since it's been so long since you last played, you'd kinda be starting over anyway, so a new game wouldn't be too big of a deal from that aspect. Well, good luck, and hope you get to play again soon!

When I lose something, it always seems to ends up in a place I don't expect. It must be in somewhere pretty stupid, that you would kick yourself when you find it. I would suggest asking you mum politely when she has some free time if she knows. If you still can't find it after time, and if you can afford it I would get digital copy so you wouldn't lose it again. Cart is fine (If that's what you are going for and if its cheaper), just in case but if you want to risk it happening again...
