Oh no! sometimes I forget that I've filled the pick up box and get another pocket full of stuff before I realise I can't bring it back, it sucks because you hardly get any money for them when you sell them at the island!

Well, a very sweet 10 year old girl stole my hat and shoes.She said she just wanted to catalog them.They were both unorderable, so I was just going to give them to her.Before I could say that she could have them, she took off into the building.I could have flipped the wifi, but I found the whole thing quite humorous.I did however feel rather violated as I stood there in my socks and hatless head.lol.

I was in a rush to get back to the bug off. Left the bugs in my pocket. Arrived back and a golden stag was on my tree.
One time I took off my tinglehood and wetsuit and put it into my basket. The person was leaving just when I finished.
Lost my tinglehood but the wetsuit was in the basket.

When it summer I take off my shoes on the island and put them in the basket. I like to running around barefoot.

I'm almost paranoid about making sure I place everything in the basket, mainly because I always want to have room in my inventory for everything I catch, so before my inventory is even full, I go back in and put them in the basket. I rarely play on Club Tortimer Islands so I'm not sure how that works on those (whether people can steal stuff you've placed in the basket or not, but I'd guess not). I've thankfully never left anything on the island, not that I realised, just flowers I didn't want anyway so I didn't bother.
