You know what would be cool in the next Animal crossing game?
Let's say you were to make a second character. On New Leaf and all other previous AC games the character would automatically move to your town that you've already created. Wouldn't it be cool, though, if instead of Rover greeting you by saying "Is that a ticket to ___ , I see?" he would greet you by asking which town you were traveling to, and you would have the option to either move in to your existing town/towns OR type in a new town name and you would be able to have a second town on the same game cartridge(spell fail?). This way, people who want to have cycling towns and stuff would be able to instead of having to buy a second game/second 3ds.

Your thoughts?
This is just some random idea that popped into my head and I wanted to see what everyone else thought. If this idea has already been talked about before then oopsie.

If you ask me, that idea would be so cool! :) Then you wouldn't have to purchase another game for another town. It would be so awesome to see this come true! c:

that's a good idea. i'm sure lots of players would love to have more than one town with only one game cartridge.

but i don't imagine Nintendo would do this since it would mean less sales and money for them.. boooooo! >_<

That idea is great, but like woody said Nintendo probably wouldn't like it since they get tons more money the more cartridges you buy.

Who knows, maybe they'll do it in the future. I can't really bring myself to buy another copy just to have a second town. Unless I could get it really, really cheap I guess :p

Not really… It'd enhance the amount of greedy people trying to get EVERYTHING on one town and selling stuff. Although prices would go down.

Yeah, I'm sure the only factor here is Nintendo's money. Right. Having two towns would take up a ****-load of space. Not to mention the LOADS of bugs that would occur just because there's two towns.

Oath2Order is right. The game cartridge's memory is not meant to have so much RAM space, and, as was said, would cause a lot of bugs and glitches and all that good stuff. Yeah, it is a good idea and all, it would just be tedious to have the game slow down, and sometimes lock up completely, due to lack of RAM space in the form of multiple towns; Resetti would come up a lot more often, and all that good stuff.

Although, Nintendo could probably insert a 1 GB Micro SD Card in every cartridge, and people could cycle throughout the towns that way, but, that would cost a lot of money (I think).

Not a fan, sorry.
I just don't think Nintendo would ever do anything like that. Also, if that cartridge gets corrupted, then both towns are gone, huh? That's twice the sadness.

I'd just love to own two towns! But I don't really want to pay for another one, so to implement a feature that you've mentioned would be awesome. But it sounds like it won't happen though according to others.

I don't think a single cartridge could handle the data for two separate towns. Also, what's the point of having a cycling town on the same cartridge of your main? There's no way you'd be able to move villagers from one into the other.
