I had a terrible time with braces. Maybe it was my teeth, but I can definitely say I'm not weak.

I got them when I was 9. ._. And they were put on and off 3 times. -_-;

Thats true. But not that much. The things I couldn't eat were:
Apples (unless cut into small pieces)
Caramel
Gum (But sugar-free is ok)
Twizzlers
Starbursts (I think they are called that)

It hurts like hell for three days straight after you get them tightened, which happens every moth or so. Haven't you ever had Braces before?

Nope. I ate caramel. But I hated twizzlers and starburst. And I did bite out of apples. But I ate sugarfree gum . =P

Some people "Gums" are different, it takes some longer to get adjusted to the pressure from the Braces.
