I just got a great idea for an area in my town!

I'm going to make this area a fishing spot, which is perfect since there is a pond right there.
I was going to put a custom sign PWP with the image of a fish so people will know this is the fishing spot



Only problem now is I don't know what else to put here to make it a fishing spot, besides the custom sign. So ideas?

Maybe try putting a log bench next to the pond, so visitors can sit on the log and fish in the pond (I know they can't really, but that should be a thing).

As far as PWPs go, you could put a log bench as well so fishers have a place to sit as they wait!

Depending on the amount of space you plan on using, you could put a hammock and/or campfire? I don't know c:

a log bench where people could sit would be pretty cute! too bad you can't fish while sitting ;;
also, you could put a hammock nearby with the water pump, and maybe leave a lost item book right there? if you're planning to share you town as a dream later on, you can also leave a fishing rod next to the custom sign!

Great ideas. Thanks so much you guys. It's a pretty big space. I think the hammock, a sign and a bench should fit. Now I just got to wait for Bones to suggest the hammock and Mira to suggest the log bench but I can wait. And leaving a fishing rod is perfect!

Cute! It's actually in he same spot I have mine in my old town . It looks super cute in ponds ! I chopped a tree next to it so people can sit . Or not you can add a log. But until you get it, chop a tree as well!

Oh that's perfect, and there happens to be a tree right next to the pond. So I'll chop it down. It will have to do until I get the log bench.

If you have the green camping cot as an option, that would look nice. I mean, so would the hammock, but the camping cot is vertical so it might fit your fishing spot better? (I'm looking at the vertically placed patterns you have on the ground.)

I also thought a camping cot would be good for a fishing pond... Another idea would be to create a little dock out of path patterns on the coast of where one would be fishing. I used to make them next to my river in my original town.

One other idea: Leave only one side of the pond looking developed, and surround the other sides with trees and other plants. That would make the fishing ground look even more realistic, as opposed to an overly industrialized lake.

I haven't gotten the PWP request for the cot yet. I like that idea of putting trees on the other side. And since it's in the north, I can put a bunch of cedar trees. I'm already picturing it in my head. Hmm didn't even think of using a dock pattern. I'm going to go look for one now.


It's probably going to be a while before it's completely done though because my villagers won't suggest projects that I actually want. But I think, once it's done, it's going to look amazing. Again thank you guys so much for the suggestions.
