I hope they bring back music boxes!

I loved how in NL you could give a giant clam and a K.K. song to Cyrus and he'd turn it into a music box that played a pretty twinkly version of it! When I was new to NH I used to hoard every giant clam shell I found in the hopes that I could turn them into music boxes. Then I found out that you can't in this game! Who else misses the music boxes and hopes they make that a feature later??

I only had a few of those but I really liked the sound and wpuld love to have it in one of my rooms! Specifically the bedroom. Hope they bring those back as well.

I can't believe I forgot about those! They'd look beautiful in my shell room, and the music box version of Stale Cupcakes in my main room would be perfect! Music boxes were amazing. I hope they get brought back!

I did the exact same thing! I've been hoarding giant clams since the day NH released only to find out my beloved music boxes were gone. I really hope they bring them back in the future. With all of the older mechanics NH didn't launch with being added into the game I have hope that maybe they'll return.

They sounded so lovely though, and I loved how they looked alongside the mermaid series!

Me too, I'm hoarding fossils just for the chance of that being brought back! A few people on here have said that sequels shouldn't remove features from older games, but so much has been left out in NH that I wonder how many updates it'll take to bring it all back haha

I also just bought a hanging candle but I highly doubt they'll make it able to bathe the room in a warm glow like the candles and lights did in NL. It's a bit sad and invisible as it is lol.

Yeah, I feel like a music box recipe would've worked great with the mermaid set that was just released, and would go nicely in a more cutesy room/area. Maybe it could be introduced through redd's raffle, since that seems like a relatively appropriate prize? While we probably won't get it though, you can always hope. I feel like, at least with how few items nintendo has added since launch, we're unlikely to see music boxes added since they do just serve the same purpose as music players except they only play one tune, so it's not like its that necessary of an item, compared to a lot of other things that could be added in instead.

Oh my gosh I had at least 15 music boxes I loved the way they made certain songs sound and they added a nice ambience to a lot of rooms. I hope they bring back a lot of stuff from new leaf and past games. It's an odd add in but I've always wanted harriet to return even though we have the mirror because I just always liked her

I only liked a few songs with the music box but I do wish they were in the game.
