I haven't seen Celeste since the 1.3 update!!?

Title! I know the update changed how the game handles her spawn rates. My understanding is that she will appear on one day out of the week on a shooting star day, never on the same day as KK Slider, and only ever once a week even if you have multiple showers. But I've been using MeteoNook to make sure I don't miss shooting star days and I have literally not seen her once since I updated, despite checking each shooting star day in a week.
This week for example, (I'm in July): I have a light shower Wednesday, a heavy shower Thursday, another light shower on Friday, Fishing Tourney on Saturday, and a light shower on Sunday (but KK Slider is there because of the Fishing Tourney on the Saturday). So she should be around Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. But I CAN'T FIND HER ANYWHERE!
I'm just wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same frustration, or if maybe there's a piece of information I'm missing--eg. does time travelling affect her spawn rates? Is she absolutely guaranteed to show up once a week if you have shooting stars or could it just be my bad luck that I had a week with four showers and not have her on my island once?
And this isn't the only week I've tried, it's been multiple.
It's definitely possible I'm just missing her but the longer this goes on the less likely it seems that I haven't seen her a single time ... (On the other hand, probably much more likely than my game being bugged lol)

Anyway this is turning my favourite NPC into a source of great frustration, so I'm very upset about that!

It's possible you might have miss Celeste walking around cause she can be hard to find.

Are you willing to time travel forward? Go to a future week that had at least one meteor shower at 7:30pm and comb your island at least twice or at most 4 times. She tends to spawn on the beach and near the plaza for me but she can be anywhere. If you don't find her, restart the game on the same day and try again

She is normally guaranteed to come if you have a heavy meteor shower (when Isabelle announces) even on a Sunday, but she only comes once a week, so if you see her on a light shower on the same week you have or will have a heavy meteor shower, you'll no longer see her on the other. I usually jump to another year on the same zodiac month if I didn't have a meteor shower on the current month/year.

Okay interesting observation (or maybe just me being stupid again):
I TTed forward to August 21st, where I have a heavy meteor shower which is also the only shooting star night I have all week. I found Celeste almost immediately. But then I TTed forward to the 22nd, collected my fragments, and went backwards to the 21st again to get a new recipe from Celeste--and suddenly she's nowhere to be found again. It's definitely possible I'm still just missing her, but it's so odd that I would find her pretty much instantly the first time and suddenly 3 or 4 passes of my island is yielding nothing, on technically the same day.
Has anybody had any luck farming Celeste DIYs like this since the update?

I haven't seen her in over a month and I've been looking everywhere. I had a light shower last week but no sign of her. If I couldn't visit peopleon here and my friends' islands I'd be stuck with maybe 6 of her diys at this point.

She has been appearing normally once a week for me. Be sure to look around closely, she can be in some obscure corner at times

She is not guaranteed during a heavy shower. She will be more likely appear on the heavy shower over the days you have light showers in the same week. I've been to two heavy showers without Celeste so far

I did see someone else post about this recently but I don't really have a good answer as to why she isn't appearing cause you are in the same week and you didn't go to Monday. When you looked for her, did you save and start the game again?

I've had two heavy showers and two light showers in the past 2 or so weeks but have not seen celeste for ages. I search my entire island for her and haven't been time travelling.

It's disappointing because before the update I would see celeste but no shooting stars (my first heavy shower was in the last two weeks and I've been playing since release). Now I see shooting stars but no celeste. I love the space themed items but it's been so hard getting them.

During my time of playing this game (I got it on launch) I have only seen Celeste a total of 1 times! However I have had hiatus time due to irl but it is still strange. Idk some people rarely get Redd and other NPCS. It seems to be completely random. I'd say a lot of players have periods of time they barely see an NPC. It's possible the update changed her spawn rate? I certainly haven't seen her myself.
