I Have a Question About the Plot Reset Trick

so i have 9 villagers right now. i just got a villager from another town to agree and come live in my town. they always place their plot the next day after doing this, so should i try the plot reset trick to get them into a spot i want or would this not work for the 10th villager? i dont wanna end up messing up and losing her. some people have said they tried the trick and their villager never moved in so im kinda scared lol.


tl;dr : i wanna know if the plot reset trick works for getting a 10th villager from a trade

yeah, of course it works for the 10th villager. i've certainly never had any trouble doing so and most of the times whenever i hear or see people that have said problem it's cuz they invited two diff villagers into their village on the same day or something.
