I just love normals so so much!! Ugh they are by far my favourite villager type - my town currently has 5 (but only 4 are permanent residents since I plan to sell Maple)

But if it weren't for the fact that you're not supposed to have too many of one type I would definitely have 7 in my town; I'd keep Maple and I'd get Nan and Skye on top of the 4 I already have (Gala, Margie, Fauna and Molly) -_-;

It's a serious problem because you can't have 7 of one villager type but I just love them so much!! Normals are so so sweet and their character designs are always the best by far!

Any advice?

huh? you can have as many as you want. youll just miss out on PWPs.

NORMALS FTW (i have 14 :D)

Oh yeah, you CAN have as many as you want, but you're not really supposed to...

"supposed to" is subjective xD;;; if you dont want PWPs for the other personalities, then screw it and have 200 normals, who cares? :p you might get bored of the dialogue is all i warn.

So...what's the problem?

Yeah, I agree I don't see any problem if you like normals just have as many as you want. There really is no wrong or right amount of villagers. Unless your trying to get PWPs, but if your not then there's no problem at all. Heck, my town would be nothing, but peppy villagers if it weren't for the fact I still need all the other PWPs.

Normals are such cuties! I can understand your love for them ^-^%

I know right!! And they're always so concerned for your well being, and they're really polite and they love cooking and gardening and reading ^___^ they're just the best!

It starts to get boring imo if you have so many of the same personality in one town. They'll just keep saying the same thing over and over again.

There's no such thing as "suppose to". I don't know if the game creators intended people to have an all deer town or an all frog town, but people have them. Or a town where all the villagers are blue. I saw that once. There's no suppose to. Just do what you want to do!

Am I the only one who feels that the personality types have like, "two" variations? Like some crankies screaming "GAHAHAHAHAHA" while others don't? With normals, some of them seem motherly while others seem to be more "smart"? I know it's probably a huge stretch or a coincidence, but Skye and Marcie seem really different to me, especially when I compare Skye to Goldie.

merely coincidence; theyre not programmed to be any different, it just has to do with the RNG of the lines they spew. some conversation paths are rarer than others; not according to the villager, but in general. so if one seems one way to you, its simply coincidence that youre getting certain lines from them.

I noticed that, too! From my experience Molly and Eunice are quite diffrerent; whereas Kabuki and Hamphrey are similar to each other, but different from Roscoe. Not sure if this is set to each villager or just a random roll (if it is true).

Really, you can have as many normals in your town as you like. The only downside would be the similar/same dialogues.

Hmmm, normal is actually my least favorite. I do love Merengue and Fauna. But I wish they were uchis, personally.

I say if you love them, why not have them in your town though. Whatever is gonna make you happy! Does the game really not let you? I have 3 smugs. IDK if it would let me have 10, smug isn't my favorite anyway, just 3 of my dreamies ended up being smugs. But if the normals are what you want, and you find them in the trading boards, why not?

Oh ya, this is a problem for me already with my 3 smugs. :c But what they say is cute, so I'm willing to live with it. The normals though, they have those long quizes! That would annoy me personally. XD

I kind of agree with this. But I don't think that there's sub-types within a personality, just that some tend to use more of certain dialogue making them seem different from others of the same type. Like I have three normals in my town, Coco, Marina and Lily. Coco and Marina say similar things a lot, but Lily is always trying to sell me something. She's constantly trying to get cash for something or make some bells for a new book. Seems like she's always hustling lol which makes her personality seem different.

Also I don't think these dialogue choices are programmed in for each character. I think it's random. Like I if I lost my Lily and Coco and cycled back for new ones they might not say the same things as my old ones making them seem to have slightly different personalities.

I love me some normals. They're so kind and caring; I just can't help but hoard them in my towns. I used to have 7 in my main alone...
