I have 2 towns, if I TT on one will the other be affected?

I did a quick search but couldn't really find anything about this particular thing.
If I have one physical copy and one digital copy of AC:NL, and I TT only on the digital one, will the physical one be affected?
I mean, TTing is done by setting the time of the whole system.
If I set the time back to normal and play my physical game after TTing, will there be more weeds etc, will it be detected?
Do I have to take the physical copy out if I TT to prevent that? Sorry for being such a noob.

No, they are completely separate towns. If you change the time in one town using Isabelle, it will not change the time in the other town.

Even if you do change the time on the entire system (you can do it both ways), it won't effect the other town as long as you change it back to the correct time before loading the game.
