I hate this rock :'(

So I just reset my town, and I love my new town map. It has everything I ever wanted:
- apples
- blue train station

So I'm walking down to that secluded penisula, and I'm like YEAH MY NEW HOUSE:
and then I see this rock....


Now I have two options, this house placement, it's not completely in the middle, it'll be out of whack and out of place, but I sooo wanted to hear the waterfall it's not even funny.:


or this?



Here's my map for reference if you guys have any good ideas for me I'm so frustrated, and I will NOT give this map up!!!! I've been resetting since last night, god, and I'm so ready to NOT reset ever again, so please ... help?


And you guys SHOULD know that not having things in the middle sort of ruins the whole game for me, I'm all about having things "my" way or "perfect" (well almost) so I'm very exhausted and don't know what to do....

yeah i hate boulders. i think you should put it in the center of your town, so the second picture you showed.

Your first option isn't out of whack. It's barely off center. I say go for it! But the second option isn't bad either.
Love your map btw. Mine's the same but with more ponds (boo!) and without split river.

Maybe try the other side of the waterfall? I hate rocks, one prevents me from having a fountain outside my train station ;-;

The second picture looks like a nice spot for your house! You also have more room for decorations like trees and bushes. Mind that if you don't want to end up like me regretting my house placement. Hope this helps :3 And have fun of course!

I just want to say that that rock in your first picture is more than likely the gem rock. I've had it happen to me several times, that rock showing up where I wanted my house.

Yeah and the worst part is Nook can destroy a PWP in the blink of an eye, but a fake rock.......No! *sigh*

By the way guys, because I don't want to create a new thread, can you guys give me advice on where to place my cafe and campsite? With my campsite I really want to create a little wood area, with a bonfire etc

Owh I LOVE this idea, it's what I did as well XD I put it on a small stroke of land between trailracks and river, mainly because there is little room for important PWPs and it's cute in such a small area, thought it would be nice.
Maybe you can opt for the same on the right top corner of your map.
Otherwise maybe the area above the Plaza would be nice, then you can also see the fire pit from the Plaza ^^

I don't have a DA yet (no wifi connection while I'm abroad), but here are some pics of my (empty) campsite with firepit and my little foresty walking track.

The little trees are there only for a short while. I will cut them down once they're fully grown so I have nice sitting spots around the fire. I might also place a log bench in front of the fire pit.
