I finished the fossil portion of my museum today!!!

No TT
No Fossil Trades

I am soooooo excited!!
Now I dont know if I want to hoard fossils to help others or just sell them...
Currently I am collecting some of the Juramaia to use in creepy parts of the island. =3 so far I think I have 4 which should be plenty to do the look I want.

Have you finished any part of your museum, yet? (Idc if to TT or not lol)
Are you using any fossils for decoration? If so, what are you doing?

I am missing few fossils! But I almost finished it without TT and trades! I actually expected it to take way more!

Congrats!
I think I'm missing 1 or 2 more fossils to complete that section. I did it with minimal TT'ing and no trading people trade fossils?

congratz on finishing the fossils.

i started like 5 days ago and i'm like a third of the way there with my bugs and fish.

( i recently got to go to someones island, and i could take 30 ( my current full inventory ) fossils home with me. )
( unfortunately i got 5 duplicates, but i now have like 35 pieces, maybe 40 fossils in my museum )

Same! Took me so long in old games.
The 4th fossil a day compared to the 3 in past games I think really have made a difference. It is also a nice surprise when you find one on a mystery island.

I time travel but not for fossils. I was able to get my fossils mostly through my RL friends.
I online traded for like 3 of them and then a bunch of online trading to help out my bf's museum

Congrats on finishing your fossil set! I finished mine a week ago, and only had to trade for one. I usually go after the fossils early whenever I start a new AC, as they're one of my favorite parts of collecting in the game. :)

I read on this forum that the fossil zone is actually the easiest to accomplish! Pretty sure art will be the last for me, while bugs and fish will take me a year, without tt!

Congratulations!!

I need 3 more fossils to complete the entire fossil exhibit without trading/time travel c:

That's great. Way to go.

I'm really close, but I can't seem to get anything new for a while now.

Not sure on the exact remaining count that I need...but, I know it's not much...

There were 4 per day in NL. I don't remember how many fossils appeared per day before that, but there were also fewer fossils to collect in the previous games, so on average it probably takes longer in NH. If you're super lucky, you can complete your fossil section in under 20 days, and if you're unlucky, it can take a long time to find that last fossil. I don't know if NH gives you a higher probability of getting new fossils than in previous games though.

Fossils are RNG dependent, but you get 4 per day and they aren't season locked, so they usually are completed the fastest. Fish and bugs are season locked, but you're guaranteed to finish in a year at most if you are keeping up with catching them. Art only shows up once per week at most and you could potentially get duplicates (I don't know though because I don't TT), so it has historically been the hardest to complete and is in NH.

For whatever reason I thought there were only 3? (Have i neglected my old saves that much over the past few years?!?)

Congrats! I have 2 more to go and hope to finish that this week.

I'll probably sell off what I dig up after that, since I'm still paying off a loan and have 1 more expansion to go.
