The painting I bought from him turned out to be a fake when I tried to donate it to the museum... just a word of warning.

Has this ever happened to you?

Yeah, usually only one of the paintings he has turns out to be real. Sometimes he has two real ones displayed. You always have to be careful before buying.

yeah redd is referred to as "shady" by villagers and such and thats because he scams you ~

im sorry you got scammed but i guess that's life. hopefully you can follow the guide and find his genuine pieces next time.

There always 1 real and 3 fake you just gotta know your art or check guide
Sometimes like really rare there 2 real but that very rare

Yea usually only 1 of his paintings will be real, so make sure to check the guides before you purchase!

Actually, I've seen times when there were two genuine items.

I've seen as many as 3 real art at Redd's several times in my town. I read somewhere that having good Feng Shui increases the odds of having multiple real art for sale at Redd's. I don't know if that's true or not though.

I always get scammed by Redd, mainly because I'm way too lazy to search up a guide when I'm playing and just pray to RNJesus that I get a real, lol

I don't know if this is useful, but sometimes, I think it was like the day after, my villagers would rant about redd, and asked me if I wanted to buy their painting off them, I did once, and it was a legit painting. It happened with another villager too, but it was fake. I didn't care about too much about losing some bells for another try. x)

I always zoom in as much as I can to inspect Redd's items as well as using the guide. But yes, the whole thing with Redd is that he always sold art that was fake most of the time.
