Ugh I really don't wanna go. I'm Worried I'll get lost when trying to find my new classrooms and I'm worried if none of my friends are in my classes. :(

Any advice for going back to school? (I'm going into the 7th grade.)

Oh goodness...middle school/junior high.
To be honest 7th grade was my first year of JRHS (we went from 7-9) and
and I hated junior high school. I hated it so much. I blocked out most of my 8th/9th grade years honestly.
BUT
advice! DO YOUR HOMEWORK i am literally not kidding

also however on the flipside
don't worry about the grades TOO much. I mean, do. but remember middle school doesn't even decide your fate in life. that's high school.

Also remember I'm OUT of school and I'd like to be back in school (not JRHS obviously..but college). so cherish the time in school, even if you won't see your friends as much.

Dont worry about getting lost, no one knows where those dang classrooms are.
Dont worry about appearance, everyone is worrying about that, no one will notice.
Remember all the cool things you get to learn! Do you get to take any fun extra curricular stuff this year/semester? I did band in JRHS and it was fun :D learned a lot about music theory that probably most high schoolers didn't know.

Sorry I am bad with advice...

Good luck! Middle school isn't bad trust me. It was pretty chill for me; but when you get to high school that's where things get stressful.
Try to be outgoing, make friends, and be nice to everyone.
Also join a lot of clubs and meet new peeps.

Well I'm finished with school, and all I can tell you is that I was made fun of. I think that you should just fall asleep and just dream about how many friends you will make. My stomach would always hurt the day before school starts, but after the first week you will feel better. Just think about it, you're not in 6th grade anymore, you aren't one of the babies anymore. After this year you will be in 8th grade, on top of everyone! :) If your teachers are mean, then just ignore them and try to get on their good side. I would stay away from drama and cut off everyone who isn't your true friend. Does your school offer any sports clubs? If so I think you should join one! I joined soccer and made LOTS of friends.

Here are some tips

- go in there with a positive attitude knowing you have something to offer. If you go in calm and confident and let as much crap as you can roll off your back, you'll have a much better time, socially.

- remember, school is not what it looks like on the TV shows you watch

- Keep your friends close and your frenemies far

- Always hang out with people who make you laugh

-DON'T spread rumors! This could make you lose friends!

- Don't get crushed by a crush

- Try to be your gym teacher's favorite

- I know you are in middle school, but in my high school there were people who smoked, did drugs, basically everything you don't want to do. Don't let people pressure you

- Don't try to fit in with the popular group

- The last tip i could give you is to have fun, try to make one friend that you will stick with throughout the year, do your homework, and don't let anyone bring you down

Hope I helped, and good luck tomorrow :)

Just be happy you're not in high school ;) Your grades really don't matter in middle school, they may affect which classes you take as a freshman in hs but overall they don't make a huge difference, so don't worry about that. And if none of your friends are in your classes, make new friends! I would always just sit by myself wishing I were with my friends instead of meeting new people that I might have become close with. But don't try to become friends with people just because they're "popular". You'll have a lot more fun if you look for nice people with common interests. I wish I could tell my younger self to stop caring about what people would think, I would have been less stressed.

hi clemmy

Go there and do your thing. That's what your there for. I don't make friends and I just concentrate on my work. Yeah, I'm a senior in high school this year but don't stress too much on other things and just go there and do what you need to do.

I'm a senior in HS this year. But, about middle school, I actually didn't like it much. It was mostly because a lot of the kids in my school were into some really bad stuff, so I just stayed to myself and the friends I already had that were in my neighborhood. But really, try to enjoy your classes. If you don't find a friend right away, it's okay. It's not always best to have someone to cling onto, because then you can't do anything without someone and that just sets you up for failure later on.

For example, I knew a girl in my grade (*Girl A*)who was pretty much attached at the hip with one of my friends, almost scary, but it was one of those pairing where you knew that if *Girl B* was around, *Girl A* would show up if she wasn't already there. So then when we reached 8th grade they were split up and had like no classes together and so *Girl A* couldn't cling onto *Girl B* and had some sort of identity crisis and started doing drugs and stuff and it was just like "omg calm down, you're awesome and can make other friends" but she didn't listen.

My advice is to, ugh here comes to corny, BE YOURSELF. And remember that, even if you have a rough first few weeks, there are good times around the corner. The upside to middle school is you get to feel a little older without as much stress as a high schooler. So just cherish that feeling while you have it and enjoy yourself.

You do you, booboo.

My advice is: Do your work and everything, listen to the teachers, and wRITE NOTES OH MY GOD. One thing that I really should've done was hang out with my friends more. Never turn down an offer to do something with friends. In 5th, 6th, and 7th I never did anything with my friends besides help them with their homework before the bell rang. Most people don't have this problem though. Maybe it's just me?

please just stay in school and do your homework. i wish i had someone telling me this.

also ~always~ treat your teachers with kindness and respect. they don't get paid enough to deal with rowdy disobedient teenagers

Here is another Tip, Dont try to hard to make friends, because the harder you try, the more 2 faces your friends will be I found that out the HARD way.

I'm heading into grade 8, so I know where you've been. Talk to people. By the end of the year, I was friends with over half of my class. However, it's not all easy. Like others have said: Do your homework! Trust me. Not doing it and having your teacher yell at you is not worth it for the extra 5 minutes you got from not doing the sheet. Just follow this advice, and you'll be good.

OH. I HAVE ANOTHER TIP.

ALWAYS remember not to eat anything spicy or sweet like burritos or chocolate before you go to school because you might get constipated in the bathroom while the fire drill goes off. happened to me twice :(
