if you’re feeling unmotivated, take a break or look for inspiration; then you can load up the game fresh. i know things right now aren’t looking the best for you, but take a breather and work slowly, nh isn’t intended to be rushed. everyone here has the right idea!, start small, don’t feel like you absolutely have to get everything done on a deadline, it’s just unfun.

don’t give up on something you care about; trial and error is the way to go it seems. ^_^

My island is a mess... too many flowers, items, etc. Areas that don't look quite right. But it's okay. I know I will get there eventually. For now I focus on one little area or project at a time. I have a general big picture plan, but it changes. The campsite contest on here actually forced me to pay some attention and work on the campsite and I'm happy with it now. It may change later, but I'd suggest just going with the flow and what you're feeling in the moment... whether that's making a special area like a spa or library, or cleaning up tossed items, or working on paths.
