I'm very sorry to hear about this happening to you. I don't know what method you're using to try to dry out your console but I saw someone recommend placing it in rice for a for days in a bowl. The rice soaks up the liquid. This is actually a recommended method for drying out cell phones as well.

I'm glad to hear your friend offered to replace your system. I don't know what your "borrowing" situation is between the two of you but maybe you could ask her to at least tell you the next time she borrows something. She doesn't need to ask if you're fine with that but she should at least inform you that she has it. That way you won't have the panic of wondering where it is & you'll know who to ask if you want it back.

Thanks guys, I am working on drying out the system...and she has offered to buy a new one soo it's all good there. Also not bashing anyone but we aren't kids soo telling the parents won't do anything LOL

Got my DS dried out and it works. The SD card is messed up but the system is ok. My friend explained the situation when she borrowed it. She usually takes my 3DS XL soo I just assumed it was that one she took, but I was wrong so it's ok now...I will be restarting NL on my physical copy soo maybe I can get a good town started again.

I think it was just in the water for like seconds soo it didn't have time to soak in too much.
