I don't understand...

This is probably a very distictive topic but do you ever find it weird how people *not including new people* want to buy lemons or mangos or coconuts or bananas when you can get them from the island for free in less than 10 minutes? *or 5 minutes if you smash out kapp'ns horrible singing with the B button*

I keep seeing more and more and people are offering like 200k for mangos or durians. I never bought fruit from anyone, I just got it from the island whilst playing tours.

I've just bought some mangoes recently, I had them in my town before but I must have chopped the trees down. I tried getting them of the island but due to laziness I just didn't want to keep trying to go on tours to get those mangoes. It was much easier to get them from someone on this site

I don't know either, I've always gotten fruit on my own from the island or villagers. Probably people just don't want to go through the trouble of locating the fruit in a tour, since that could take a while if it's a specific fruit.

I didn't know that actually since i only went to the island to get those 50 medals for that Club Pass... I should have researched more..
But i didn't buy them, had a friend gave me some extra.

Some tours don't let you take home fruits or penalize you for having them on hand (labyrinth, souvenir hunt, ore smashing, hammer whacking). For me, unfortunately, those ones are the only tours I actually enjoy playing -__-

It maybe would take ten minutes to go to island. Paying for available fruit goes against my grain. If you need flowers, go on a butterfly tour. If you need fruit, pick tours with diving or sea fishing. I could even get a few medals plus the fruit. I will buy a couple perfect fruit to keep my villagers happy. Most people will gladly give you a few. After chopping down all my perfect town fruit I realized I hadn't replanted. Goof. Bought a few for that.

There's a lot more people buying tools etc and not really making the effort. What's the point? I have very few bells but get by okay.

Second, how do you get fruit on the hammer tour? There aren't any trees. Also, once you finish the scavenger tour, while you wait for others to complete it, you could gather for fruit.

Exactly -- some tours don't let you get any fruit. I know I can get fruit from other tours. Will I enjoy it? Probably not. It's very minimal effort to collect the fruits you want, but seeing as I don't prioritize it that much I'm fine with not going out of my way to grab it :T

I also don't do multiplayer tours, though that's a separate thing.
