My town is called Ethereal and it's a foresty, cozy town. I really like it, but I feel like it's not really good enough. Cabin set, I love it. Mushrooms, adore it. Overgrown and lush, I really enjoy it. But I often find people saying how much they hate those types of towns, makes me feel kinda bad about my design. Idk if I should change it because I feel like I blend in a bit now. Gimme some ideas on how to improve! I love the forest theme but now I kinda wanna add something to it. What are ways to add a little something something?

Don't ever change your town because someone else might not like it. There are tons of people who play ACNL; someone is inevitably going to dislike something in your town, be it a villager, a home design, a PWP, how you dressed your mayor, etc. You already really like your town; keep it the way it is! Only change something in your town if you decide you would like it better a different way.

Do whatever you want. If you like how your town is, then it really doesn't matter what other people think. If you would rather have a different kind of town, then change it. I can't really give you a definitive answer because it's ultimately your decision.
I totally agree with Mayor Kera & MapleSilver. The only person who's opinion matters is you. If you like your town as it is then you don't need to change a thing. If you - and only you - don't like something in your town then make a change. Your town is absolutely creative because it's uniquely yours. There is no other town out there exactly like yours. It's a one of a kind gem!
You should keep your town the way it is if you like it. I agree with everyone here. Your opinion should be the only opinion that matters. Someone is always going to find something to complain about; it is inevitable at this point. You should create a town the way you like it. If you like the way your town is themed, keep it that way. Don’t let the fear of people not liking your town get to you.

i also have a very natural town i don't have qr paths or anything
i use flowers instead of hedges or trees to line my paths and i have a HUMONGOUS blue pansy patch in tuesday and in glory i want to make it orange roses all over the place
i think flowers in big patches can be really, really pretty
but don't make big changes just because you think other people might think it's boring, just like everyone else said

i feel u! i wanna be basic and make a natural looking town with mushrooms and an overgrown forest ;v;
i was hesitant but i dont hack so that would take a ton of work and if ppl wanna judge lmao go ahead im the one spending hours and tbt on it

I LOVE forest towns!! It sounds like yours is super pretty. There are certain things about towns I don’t like, but that shouldn’t encourage someone to not do it for their town. It’s just my personal opinion, lol.
However, if you do want to add something different, then it should be because YOU want to do it. I made my houses how I wanted them, not because it necessarily fit the theme of my town.
