I don’t like how Nintendo changed flowers

it seriously gets on my nerves as well, makes the process way longer!

I just wish they would stack. Digging them up is a minor issue, since you can't accidentally destroy them.
Having to empty your inventory so often and not being able to store them is annoying though.

Don't give up!

My and my girlfriend don't time travel and we got all the hybrids somewhere in May I think? What really helps if you have someone come over to water flowers.

Thanks.

I turned my focus elsewhere—and just recently.

I am re-designing the island. Terraforming dramatically. And the new layout has my focus.

What I can do is set aside a specific area for roses. Grind for blue.

I can set aside another specific area for purple and green mums. Going for those.

And there are the windflowers. My need for purple.

The game is a lot.

It's definitely super annoying when it comes to terraforming. I also miss being able to breed flowers on the beach. It was a great way to keep the flowers safe and out of the way.

I dread finally getting my flower fields under control. that nook mile achievement showed up so much >.<

Yeah they need to become storable

I hate that those of us with rainy weather have to struggle with the flowers more too! I have rain daily and to have to dig up all the ones that breed is super annoying. I wish they were easier to remove or that you could uproot multiple at a time!

I'm a huge fan of ACNH, and I have over 250 hours logged at this point, but flowers are a dumpster fire to me.

Yes, I know, other players can't steal my flowers anymore and that's nice and all but meh. They could have let us drop flower plants to be potted plants and then other players could pick those up; we'd be able to trade easily but players couldn't steal them. The flipside is that flowers spread so fast and require a lot of tedium to clean up. I know there are "ways" to handle it like customizing the tool or carrying extras but... I feel like if we're having to compensate for the game then there's an issue with the design.

I've gotten to the point where today I just paid someone to come over and rip up every flower that wasn't in a designated spot and now I have no flowers anywhere except for right next to my house and on my camp island. It took them almost 2 hours to actually do it, and man I couldn't be bothered to have done it myself. If it had been on me my town would just have been overrun until it took that poor person 6 hours to do it. I loved gardening in New Leaf but I guess that minor extra step is enough to take it from relaxing and pleasant to tedious and frustrating for me. =\

I ripped all my flowers up. 1500 flowers. Took 6 and a half hours. Brutal

Yesss, i'm going through this right now with moving my entire flower field of probably 500 or more flowers to an entire different part of my island, it's a total pita  Agree with every suggestion in this thread
Hopefully they’ll change it in a future update

This is actually keeping me from getting rid of my flowers, but my town has gotten truly ridiculous at this point lmao. I wish I could just invite people over to my island to take flowers with them, but unless I want to best friend them (which is a bit of a hassle), I'll have to hand deliver them (which is also kind of a hassle). Idk I might wind up selling them to the Nooklings.

I agree. I've been getting rid of 1-2 inventories full per day, and I'm still nowhere near done after a week of it. I must have started off with at least a thousand of the dang things. It's especially annoying because lately I've been having rain every single day, and each time it rains I get 20-30 new flowers. It feels like I'm hardly making any progress at all...

What I've started doing is putting down a completely transparent pattern around all of my flower groups/flower beds, since it acts as a path and flowers can't grow there. It just looks like grass, which I appreciate since I really don't want to have to fence off all my flowers!

I have so many flowers and it's overwhelming. 😭 I have no space to do anything and of I want to do something it's half an hour of digging.

I don't mind digging up flowers I want to keep, but there should be a way to destroy flowers that are in the ground.... have them turn to weeds or disappear.

I prefer this because there's no way to destroy them and people can't just steal them. I didn't play online for NL because I was super paranoid about that

There definitely does need to be a better way since digging up takes a while. I've resorted to just dumping buildings I was planning on moving on giant clumps to mass destroy them
