I don’t like how Nintendo changed flowers

Honestly, having to use a shovel to dig up flowers is annoying. I wish you could just pick them up like in new leaf as it was way faster and easier. Having to do it this way it brutal when you have to remove hundreds of flowers. Because then the shovel breaks, and you have holes everywhere. Also get trapped by the holes.

It just takes way longer too. I wish they had a better way.

Took me 5 hours to remove over 1000 from my town.

It's a double edged sword on one side you don't have to worry about accidentally ruin them but at the same time you have to dig them up to rid if them.

I've been making sure fences or custom designs are placed around my flowers so they can't take over the ground. It's definitely annoying.

I know the feeling because you can't Terra in the early game until 3 stars and I wanted dirt under the flowers.

Same! Who knew an infestation of flowers could be more annoying than the weeds -_-

I also hate how we can't store them.. I want to clear my beaches of my hybrids but I have no where to put them while I terraform my island.. would be so convenient to store them all and place them as I go. I've been wanting to decorate my beaches but I cant since that's the designated flower storage for now

Me too. I had to sell all my hybrids because I couldn’t store them sadly.

If you customize the shovel after each full inv, it won't break. Custom path or custom mannequin design blocks them from spawning. Change the design on the mannequin to remove them all at once. A fully transparent path works too.

I agree, when I started playing NH, I was addicted to planting flowers in my town, now I’m just annoyed at how many there is and the pain of digging them up and selling and breaking shovels at the same time.

I wouldn’t hate it so much if the shovel didn’t break. It’s nice for me because I enjoy having tons of hybrids to decorate my island with and don’t want to have to worry about people visiting and stealing or destroying them anymore...but the shovel breaking makes removing them so tedious. Tool breaking is honestly my least favorite part of new horizons.

(yes, I have heard of the customization method. I personally like having duplicates more because i don’t want to have to consciously think while I’m digging about how many uses I’m left with)

I still have no blue roses.

The blues that I have are from the hyacinth and pansies.

The game is distracting. Very distracting. And I am shuffling other things.

So, I am missing blue roses, purple and green mums, and purple windflowers.

But, I have enough pink roses. (There is no shortage of those.)

I want my island to feel like an island. And pink roses aren’t my No. 1 hybrid in flowers.

I watched the videos—more than once—of Austin John Plays showing how to get hybrids and blue roses. Turns out that, while he said he would not time-travel, he had a second island with which to demonstrate as he did time-travel. The process was exhausting. And this was intended in the overall design of “New Horizons”. And—whattya know!—Austin John Plays stopped playing “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.” (He burned himself out.)

I will get there some day with those missing hybrids.

I just wish they would stack. Digging them up is a minor issue, since you can't accidentally destroy them.

My and my girlfriend don't time travel and we got all the hybrids somewhere in May I think? What really helps if you have someone come over to water flowers.
