Alright, so I've been plot resetting for a few hours now. Normally I try to keep it so that one personality type will show up at a time, but a wifi villager messed that up so now I'm going through six different personalities. I wasn't necessarily trying to find a villager I wanted, but I did want to get a villager I could at least give away. Then Marshal showed up, and I know there are a ton of people who would love to have him.
Here's the problem: I don't normally like smug villagers, but I talked to Marshal in a dream the other day and actually liked him a lot. I'm afraid that if I take him I'll end up wanting to keep him. I already have Julian and he matches my town perfectly so I can't bring myself to get rid of him, and I want to get Rowan as a third jock so I don't have room for two smugs, at least not until I get the PWPs I need from peppy villagers. Also, Marshal has his house in a pretty bad spot. It's not awful if I plan to give him away eventually, but it's back in the upper right corner behind the town hall and police station and far away from any other house. It's also my pick up/drop off area since most of my town is covered. If I did end up keeping him it'd be a terrible spot (he didn't even split up my orange trees evenly).
Should I take a chance and move him in? It's taken this long just to find a decent villager, so if I give him up now I could be at this all night. I'm leaning towards doing this, and with any luck I won't like him and I'll be able to give him up. But if I do end up keeping him it'll mess up a few plans I've had for my town... ugh, I'm terrible at making decisions.
