A week or 2 ago, I had placed money for my friend to pick up. I've done a lot of things with other friends and people on here, and now 2 Mil. are gone. I figured this out when I told my friend that I decided to keep my money to buy more of the Gorgeous Set via Phone, and I immediately ran over to find it wasn't there. I assumed I didn't save, and it was in my ABD, so I checked, and nothing there. Sigh, I just don't even know who to trust anymore... Should I just not let my friends over?

You had 2mil for your friend to pick up, but the 2mil went missing? Are you sure he didn't just pick it up like you initially planned?

Why would you leave 2mil out in the open like that, anyway? That's the point of your ABD...

I expected him to come in randomly and pick it up, but he hadn't been on AC a whole lot. I did ask him if he had been there. but he said no, and I trust him because he is my best friend. I did accidentally leave my gate open after a trade and left my DS on while on here, so maybe that happened?

No offense but this is kind of your fault.

You shouldn't just leave 2mil on the ground and expect people on your friends list not to take it. I know it's a harsh thing to say, but you need to be careful when it comes to this sort of stuff, no matter who is coming to your town. You should have waited to put the money bags down until you were certain he was going to come by and take them.

That being said, I'm sorry this happened to you, but it could have easily been avoided. v.v Whoever took the money are d-bags.

Maybe someone came over and took it themselves, if that's the case. But don't quote on that if I'm wrong.

...Yeah somebody definitely took it. Unless you have a glitch town there is no way that kind of thing can just randomly happen. You can try checking the police station, though.

Another thing that could have happened is the money could appear in the Police Station (if you have it), but I highly doubt it. I'm pretty certain that only happens if a villager/PWP is planted on top of the items on the ground.

Ok, now I know it was one of my friends, because everyone on here let me trade or buy or sell at their towns, so no one came to my town except one person who had to, who was watched the whole way.

I'm not really sure what the purpose of this thread was? The money couldn't have just disappeared into thin air... I really hope you're not trying to make people feel bad and donate bells to you. I see that on a lot of other AC forums and I'd hate to see it happen here as well.

Do you keep track of your visitors, or do you just let your friends wander around freely without watching them? From now on, try to pick up all valuables before inviting anybody over, just in case. Thankfully it was only 2mil. You can make that back within a few hours on the island or from selling turnips.

It could have been anyone, to be honest. If your gates were open, anyone could come in and visit you. My gates are almost open for the time I actually play; and I get a lot of visitors. Someone could've walked in and saw the bells, and decided to take them while you were away from the 3DS. Other than that, I'm sorry this happened to you.

@Krissi No! I don't ever take things from people from free unless its a gift! I'm just asking whether I should just trust my other friends or not. I guess I should've put that in the first post (which I shall edit now). I will make sure that I won't leave money on the ground anymore though, unless I'm watching, or it's a trade. I'm going to try to figure out who did it now though to atleast see if their trustworthy..

EDIT: Luckily, I probably can get more money by exchanging TBT ^^

If you figure out who stole the bells, you shouldn't have to determine whether they're trustworthy or not. Stealing something is not being trustworthy. I doubt you'll figure out who took the bells unless they tell you themselves.
