The clouds looked so bad grey and flat like a piece of paper just stuck in one position, I ended up turning the game off.

They don't look that bad!

Just saw these myself for the first time yesterday! Must be new. Still have missed every rainbow though. Sure those exist?

They still exist! I only know because MeteoNook showed me the days and times I would get a rainbow. Still never seen one in the almost 400 hrs of playing though. I'm just never in the right place at the right time!
