I didnt get a single letter back!

I mailed about 8 letters a few days ago to octavian, zucker, pate, and stitches, two letters to each of them, one with a present, and one without!
it's been a few days and i haven't gotten a single letter back from any of them, though the villagers have the items i gave them...
one of zucker's letters was a musical letter, so did that possibly mess up? i know its not a big deal, but you know. :^T

SOmetimes if you're at the lowest level of friendship (i.e. just moved in, haven't talked to them...) they won't write back.

I'm very very good friends with Octavian and Zucker! stitches moved in a week or two ago, and he gave me his picture even before i sent the letter. pate though...

I don't know if they always reply to musical letters because whenever I've sent them, it's been hit-or-miss whether they reply. I've also had villagers I didn't know well reply to my letters. I think it's more or less random if it's not a standard letter to someone you have a high friendship level with.

Have you time travelled recently? Were you replying to letters they sent you? In my experience, sometimes if you're sending them letters back and forth, at some point they'll stop replying. If you time travel, sometimes that messes up post deliveries too.

Ah, I did time travel a day ahead (because i was excited about the replies ._.)! That may be the case. I wasn't sending letter back and forth either... Thank you so much!

That's a lot of letters to be ignored. I feel like I get about 80% replies. Were your letters real - with capitalization, punctuation and at least 10 characters? I don't think going just one day ahead would be enough to cause the problem.

The empty letters were pretty much full of text. The ones with the presents, though, were short, like 'here take this'.
i was expecting at least thank you letters for the presents from them but wowee

I think the words can be random, but you need capitals and periods. And you need 10 characters, so maybe the real letters were too short? It's worth another try

Another thing just crossed my mind. Did you send multiple letters to the same villagers? Did any visit you or invite you to their houses recently?

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've noticed that if you have reason to expect multiple letters from them, sometimes they'll become confused. For example: I visited a villager the day before yesterday. Then I decided to send her a regular letter, and before the next batch of post, I also sent her a letter with an item attached to it. I only received two letters instead of three, and neither made much sense.

Haha. They have very small brains I do usually get two when I do a visit and a letter with gift, because I'm usually only visiting to make room for the item I'm sending by letter! But I'm not sure I'd actually remember if they owed me a third....so perhaps my brain is also very small.

Don't worry, I forget about the letters I'm supposed to send and get very often... oh well. I noticed it yesterday because it was all fresh in my memory. The animals do get confused really easily! It's really cute in a way.

Yeah, I sent 2 letters to each of them, one normal, and one with a present! THough Zucker's normal letter was a musical one.
and that does make sense!
