She was one of my first three villagers in WW. Rosie, Moe and Stitches. I loved them all to pieces. Rosie was like my best friend with her kitsch clock and that rug that's an animal (can't remember what it's called) and Moe was like my dude and we could chill and Stitches made me laugh for ages. God, they were good times. And I didn't even come into the AC community until a month ago, and I realised how popular she was. That's when I took her off my dreamies, because although I love her there is no chance in hell I can get her through trade. It's quite sad really. Anyone else have this?

Yeah, I know. It's just funny because I always thought of her as like mine. I didn't know there was an online AC community where she was so popular so it was surprising to find her on almost every dream villager list.

I know how you feel lol, most of my dreamies are pretty popular and I never got them from another player for free before (been offered...but it never actually happened/worked out). xD I guess I'm not lucky enough. Had to either trade, buy, or let the game throw villagers at me for the ones I have right now. 
And I imagine that's how I'll get the rest too... Just hoping for lucky campers.

Mhm. My original dreamies list included a lot of populars--I think it was something like: Merengue, Marina, Cookie, Rosie (LOL), Melba, Rudy, Claudia, Flurry). I got pretty frusterated looking for them after awhile because of course because well! They were popular. They were difficult to get! At that time I hadn't really started trading either. So, I didn't have money to invest at all.
When I really sat down and thought about my list I asked myself a lot of questions. Did I really like him/her? Did I REALLY want them? Would they be better off with someone else? Take Merengue for example, she's adorable in basically all the fanart I see of her. I'm an aspiring pastry chef, so she was touched close to my heart. I also love the normal type, but you know what? When I actually saw her ingame and talked to her I didn't like her anymore. I think I got caught up in the popular vibe. xD
I told my friend my dreamies, and he asked me: don't you want PWPs? I had 4 normals, 2 peppies, 1 jock, 1 Uchi. Talk about unbalanced. I hadn't even thought about it at all really. When I looked at a list of all the PwP's and their pics, I got all excited to make a pretty town. When I actually went and looked at all the different villagers I got past the whole wanting all the populars. I do have a couple populars on my dreamies, but I know I really want them and would love them up.
I think I'd die if I actually had 4 normals in my town, I can't even handle more than one jock, at some point I would get annoyed of the animal because they don't really have their own sentiments to me. They're just the same repeating commentary to get tired of.
Sorry, for the long paragraph and such. But maybe someone else is experiencing the same difficulty I had. Take a look at all the villagers and not just the ones that are popular. They all have their perks. ^-^ I think, it's a good idea to consider all your options before making a dream list.
Hehe, even after this I'm pining for Rowan, Mira & Punchy but I don't have space. xD
Apple is pretty popular.. so I'll have to buy him still, but it's a lot easier to have to purchase only 3 villagers, compared to your whole list. Although, 75m for Marshal...it might have been less to buy all those listed villagers LOL.

When I think about it, I actually don't have any dreamies. I just want cute villagers who are nice. I love Lionel's smug personality so in future games I'm sure he'll be a dreamie. He just makes me SO HAPPY URGH. He's like a wise old man. He should wear a monocle.

Reading this has made me look through a list of villagers and decide what villagers I want. I'm going off to edit my dream villagers list. I mean, look at them. All popular!
I want Tom, Chief, or Fang and there's probably no way I'll get them for free..

I gave tom away for free. I give all dreamies away for free, I sold one and felt like crap for it. Its like people want them so bad and then you make them pay for it and some people can't afford it, just feel like its nicer to give them away...its just a game 
I have Merengue, Ankha, Kid Cat, Peanut, Apple and Bunnie as villagers in my town (also Baabara, Rodney and Monty). From what I've seen, a lot of my villagers are desired by other people. I am very lucky because Bunnie and Peanut were campers but the rest of my animals were either there from the start or moved in without me doing anything to determine what animals I get. I consider myself to be very lucky but I do feel bad as well. > o<

I have Rosie and she is my second favorite villager (Lucky is first). I was lucky to get her in the tent so I was able to get her for free, but yeah everyone is crazy about her and Marshal. But be patient you can get her eventually even if it's not straight away with time and effort you could get her.
I want Tom, Chief, or Fang and there's probably no way I'll get them for free..
If I still had Chief, I'd let you have him for free; unfortunately, I sold him for 10mil and Ankah. I'd say I got a helluva bargain there.
