Everyone who looks at my posts will know that my sister got a new switch. We were filling up the starter plots just now and on her THIRD NMT she got Audie. How?! I had to BUY all my good villagers except Marina. I am so confused pls help me

Omg lol! I always have such a hard time using nmt, and that's why I usually use here and nookazon. But maybe my sister could find good ones for me since she has been blessed by the luck gods today....

Getting a specific lazy, peppy, or normal at the start of the game is pretty easy. When you're recruiting villagers 3-5, first accept villagers of the other two personality types (e.g. lazy and normal), and then you will be locked into only getting villagers of the desired personality type (in this scenario it'll be peppy) while island hopping. I found Audie this way for my second island.

I got Diana as one of my 5 first villagers and Pietro as my mandatory move-in campsite visitor, these things are just random...
I also got Merengue, Zucker twice, Marina and the 3rd octopus villager I can't remember the name all within less than 30 tickets island hopping once...

On two separate occasions, within the last four weeks, I went to the Mystery Island to find a villager replacement. I was replacing, at first, the Peppy rabbit Bonbon and then, most recently, starting Uchi cat Katt.

Both had generic houses. And I figured, since I have amiibo cards, I can always get them back—and, in such case, they would not have their generic houses.

I don’t need Mystery Island for any of the islanders who were also villagers in “New Leaf.”

I am interested in the new characters who are new islanders in “New Horizons.” The eight are: Cranky elephant Cyd; Snooty bear cub Judy; Lazy goat Sherb; Normal bear Megan; Jock sheep Dom; Peppy werewolf Audie; Smug cat Raymond; and Uchi horse Reneigh.

I have decided, if I encounter any of new islanders on Mystery Island, I will invite him or her to move to Óhana. (I want to experience them.)

After letting go of Bonbon, I came across 20 on Mystery Island. Separate personality categories. After letting go of Katt, I came across 25 of Mystery Island. Separate personality categories. One character I came across with both experiences was Jock elephant Axel.

So, I went through 90,000 worth of Nook Miles Tickets. (Some of them were given to me by kind and generous visitors for whom I hosted for DIYs being crafted by Óhana islanders. I thank you all!) I have more NMTs. Not a worry. But, I was conscious of how much I went through each time. And I chose to cut myself off at given points.

These trips to Mystery Island happened on the Day #01s that Bonbon’s and Katt’s houses being gone. An empty plot in both cases. The next day, after those Mystery Island visits, I received randomly assigned islanders’s “Sold” sings. Peppy Bonbon was succeeded by Snooty pig Pancetti. Ugh Katt was succeeded by Normal koala Melba.

I drove out Pancetti. I will do that again with Melba. I realize, unfortunately, that I have to do this when the game does this to me.
