I checked a list and all my villagers are the lowest tier.

Although my villagers are basically top tier, I did have a fixation for Gaston whom had been with me since the Gamecube version and I agree, popularity doesn't always cut it, Gaston was one special rabbit to me and when I told him to leave I literally cried when I got his farewell letter; sometimes I wish I hadn't let him go ;_; In any case, I realize you can get attached to any tier villager and they'll always be special to you in that way

I don't care about the tier list, it's kind of the same vain with Smash Bros.

My favorite villagers of all time is Rooney and Bluebear and they're pretty low on the tier list.

Yes. There's a lot of low tier villagers that I love! Some of the low tiers are super cute. It's all down to preference, it shouldn't be about status. Sometimes it's harder to find someone trading an unpopular villager you want but there will always be ppl posting about Marshal and Julian.

I personally never really understood tiers, nor have I really cared for them. I love pretty much all my current villagers for different reasons and haven't really come up with a "dreamies" list. I like the surprise element of the game.

Yeah, it's best not to get too fixated on popularity lists. I only discovered the popularity list a few weeks ago. I never realised that Stitches, who I have had since the first week I started playing, was so highly popular. Yesterday I finally got Rosie, another very popular villager, and had wanted her for ages but only because she was in my GameCube version (she pretty much 'is' AC for me).

Almost all my other villagers, though, are either near the middle to bottom tiers, but I absolutely love them. I have Chevre, Grizzly, Mallary and Rory who I absolutely love. Couldn't ever get rid of them!

I'm surprised sometimes with the tier lists too. Zucker was in my campsite and I thought he'd be pretty low-tier cuz he's so ugly. He's in one of the top tiers. Different strokes I guess.
