I can’t unlock nook cranny 😭

Hi all,

I have been playing Animal crossing for a while. I’ve paid off 5,000 miles, 1st and 2nd house installment. I’ve also upgraded the museum too. I just can’t unlock nook cranny.

I’m the 2nd player while my bro is the 1st player! I even help my bro pay off his 5,000 miles but nothing happens.
I’m stuck....

Ever since I’ve paid off the 5,000 nook miles, I’ve been talking to Tommy and Timmy everyday. However the cut scene where Timmy will ask for 30 hardwood, soft wood, wood and iron wasn’t unlock...

I got the necessary resource for them to build the shop but the cut scene wasn’t unlock...

I think it only unlocks for the 1st player, because they are the island representative and make all the decisions about where shops go etc.

Have you done this on the first player or on yours? My guess would be it needs to be on the first player. Otherwise I can’t think of anything.

The first player on the island has to develop it. So they have to place the first villager plots and everything.

For first player, I have been playing for 2 days but the nook cranny shop cut scene did not play out. Do I need to spend a certain amount to activate it?

Yeah. The first player is the boss. I like to think of it as they are the Mayor without the title.

It has been a while, but I am pretty sure that once you get your first three villagers to move in (making a total of five), the next day you will walk into resident services and find Timmy talking to Tom Nook about wanting to open up a shop and needed resources. Then you should be able to talk to Timmy and give him the wood and iron needed to build the shop.

You have to be on the 1st player, or Island Rep and you have to keep talking to Tom Nook and completeing the tasks as player 1 or Island Rep because it follows a 'storyline' so to speak. So Tom Nook consistently gives you things to do until the end game or rather, the ACNH credits. When you do things it unlocks others like Nooks Cranny, the Museum, Able Sisters, etc.

I’ve replayed the game a bunch of times, it’s quite easy. So once the first player had repayed the 5000 miles you should wait until the next day, I repayed my next repayment but I’m not sure if you have to and I went into the tent and tom was talking to Timmy and tommy, this is where you get the opportunity to get the materials for the shop

I’ve replayed the game a bunch of times, it’s quite easy. Then after the shop is built what you need to do is go into the shop and Mabel is there who talks about a clothing shop with Timmy and tommy and then Timmy tommy will thank you for the shop, if you wait until the next day, I’m pretty sure tom has a phone call about the getaway package. This is your opportunity to go to the islands and choose your villagers- keep in mind the first 3 can only be peppy, normal or lazy as the game doesn’t give any others. After that, you will spend a lot of time and materials getting the plots ready with interior and exterior furniture and when completed the plots will be ready to move into. When looking for villagers each nook miles ticket can be bought from the terminal for 2000 miles each
