I know it's all part of the canned dialogue that villagers say, but when they mention food/cooking, it makes me wonder where they do it, especially when they don't have a kitchen. In fact, where do they take a bath/use the restroom? Do they just form a line in the morning to whoever has a bathroom/kitchen in the town? Do they take a bath/do their business in the ocean/rivers? And if they don't have a bed, do they just crash at the mayor's house at night? ._.

And yes, I'd imagine why that's why people build hotels in their towns. It probably would help just in case. XD

I kind of wish there was a way for them to sleep on beds or sofas. It would be pretty cute to wake them up and they just bolt straight from bed. But if they do though, I've never seen it before.

Maybe they all gather around the Reset Center and bang on the manhole cover. Then depending on their mood, Resetti or Don will let them in to use their toilet.

They manage to cook for the Harvest Festival and even pester us for ingredients, so I suppose they must do their "business" elsewhere. And yeah, they ignore their beds and sleep standing up! It's too funny. Tho when I give them toilets I doubt they use those, so I just make sure I do when I'm visiting. At least if it's a girl's one.

Speaking of which, i have given villagers toilets, just for fun. And on occasion when i visit, they are happily sitting on one. Always gives me a chuckle.

I would give the villagers a first floor, a back room (kitchen), and a basement (bathroom).

And then there would be a second floor (for bedroom).

Expansions, for villagers' homes, would be made possible with zoning control allowing for villagers to build a left and a right room. That's where their collectables would go.

Ok I have a theory... They don't sleep, eat, cook or bathe because they don't exist. And I don't mean that just in 'the it's a game, it's not real' way. I mean like what if your character is just dreaming or something and everything is happening in their mind. That's why things don't all make sense, because they don't have to in dreams, and that's also why the villagers don't actually have any basic needs. Also, they don't do anything when you're not around because your mind isn't giving them anything to do, like characters in a dream.

Yeah, I don't know really. My best explanation is that things don't have to make sense in a game either. It was fun coming up with that though.

I like to think that maybe they all have a bathroom and kitchen that we can't access. I mean, we have the option to only show them our main room, so why can't they?
