I can't get the fairytale train station suggested

i have tried for three days, repetedly doing the "swimsuit" trick and running in front of normal villagers. It's not working at all sadly


Has anyone got any ideas?

This, pretty much. You need to talk to Porter, as villagers cannot suggest train station builds.

If the porter hasn't suggested the train station upgrade, sit on the tree in the town plaza and see how many visitors you had so far.. Maybe you just need a couple more? >_<; Hope you unlock it soon~

It shows you the town history and at the end of it you can see how many visitors you had in your town.

If your town is fairy new and/or town tree is too small you might not be able to sit on it yet >_<;

What everyone is saying is true! I just got my train station upgrade like yesterday! and I checked the amount of visitors I had by sitting on the tree! then I didn't get the actual upgrade until Porter pointed it out... but i was just trying to go visit someone when he told me

Once you have reached having hosted 100 visitors, have your town Mayor go into the Train Station. He/she will notice that Porter looks a little sad. What will happen is that Porter will inform you that the town has been having so many visitors that Porter thinks an upgrade to the Train Station would be a good thing. He lets you know that he'll tell Isabelle of the suggestion. This will trigger the options for the Train Station: Fairy-tale, Modern, and Zen.

i didnt do my research beforehand, as soon as i got to 100 visitors, i spent two days doing the suim suit trick, obviously it didnt work for train station lol but i did get a few cool pwps suggested in the mean time

Please remember this: If you also want to upgrade the Town Hall, you will need to reach the Perfect Town status. You need to have at least 110 trees (total); 75 flowers; and ten Public Works Projects (more than one of any kind is fine; have more than one with a Bench, the lights, the signs). If you don't have "Beautiful Town" as your ordinance, go around and make sure your flowers aren't dying out. Then, with all this, approach Isabelle and ask how other villagers are commenting. With the Perfect Town status reached, this will trigger Public Works Projects with a choice in upgrading your Town Hall and you will have unlocked the Flower Clock.

You may already know this; so, part of my mentioning it, is for anyone who doesn't.
