So tomorrow I'm going to Gamestop to buy a video game, but I'm having trouble choosing between these three games:
Harvest Moon: A New Beginning
Story of Seasons
Disney Magical World
I want to pick the game I'll spend the most time on, and has long-term goals and isn't a game that I can play for fifteen minutes and then completely lose interest.
I would like if you had experience with at least one of these games, but if you dont, thats completely fine! :)
Thank you!

I admit I never played all of these games, but I can give you some pointer on which game is most likely going to please you.

Your safest bet is probably Story of Seasons, as the general consensus seems to tell. Being some kind of a Harvest Moon reboot, it made huge improvements to that franchise, yet under a different name because of licensing issues. Definitely get this over A New Beginning if you want more Harvest Moon goodness.

As for Disney Magical World, it's a game that is essentially designed for children. Therefore, most of the game will be very easy and highly repetitive.

I demand a poll. >:c

I'm voting for Story of Seasons.
I didn't expect to get much out of it, I never really liked too many of the Harvest Moon games aside from the very first one and one of the Gamecube ones... They never had enough customization for me, and they never lasted long enough.

But I have over 150 hours on it now and there's still plenty of new animals to unlock. I want all the cats. D:

Buy the time-sink game.

It's so hard to recommend a HM game based on that description of wants because they are not, you know, action-packed. I'll be quite honest, the start of HM games are SLOW. Once you get into them, they are very fun and seasons seem to go by quickly without enough time to get as high a level crops as you would like for the festivals since you have the added challenge of taking care of animals, but that tutorial season... wow. ANB has the least replayability of any HM game because of its painstaking tutorial season. However, I found it the strongest HM game I have played in terms of actual farming. It is dense. You can have three entire acres of crops if you want and you can lay out your farm any way you wish. Get tired of farming? In addition to ranching animals, you can try raising bees (which is harder than it seems), raising fish, or doing the ever-difficult but ultra satisfying Garden Tour. This is all in addition to foraging and fishing as well as pet raising. How will you ever find time to woo your special someone?! Trying to get a reverse proposal is lol because you just are so busy!
I found it awesome. I haven't been playing Story of Seasons because of work, but I was obsessed with ANB, so if you want to play a good game to introduce you to HM, pick it up.

If that tutorial season business scared you off, Disney Magical World is supposed to be tons of fun. SoS isn't necessarily for experienced HM players, but it doesn't mess around. Like I said, I haven't been able to play it much. :>

I voted for Story of Seasons. That will definitely get you the most game play-time out of those 3. ;)

Story of seasons.

Actually if you like roleplay games and final fantasy, I would strongly suggest Bravely Default.
Or wait for Bravely Second. The storyline is very long and engaging.

I do, but my dad and my mom wouldnt approve ;-;
The cover, in my opinion, is a little... suggestive.
My parents will feel better with me playing a farming game than a game with such a suggestive cover.

Although you might won't get the physical copy of these games, you can always try purchasing the game via eShop. Though they tend to eat a lot of your SD Card, unless you happen to have a 32GB SD Card or higher. And that's assuming that your parents aren't actively watching at what you play.

Er... I looked at the cover again, and I really don't see how it's suggestive? I mean it's a picture of a cartoon fairy. I'm pretty sure anything you see on TV and on the internet would be much openly more suggestive than that...

I know, but my parents... yeah.
I can probably use my awesome convincing powers though B)

Tbh Bravely Default's cover nor any of the content in it is suggestive really. The game its self is VERY fun to play and appropriate for all ages. :)

Unless you played the Japanese version.
Have fun with your team of 4 stripper kids!
