& of course I cannot choose where to put my house. I've been walking around with nook for like 2 hours omg. x_x so, decided to finally ask for help.
i ALWAYS have regretted this in past towns and it's usually why i end up resetting...


anabelle ruined everything (the house in the top left corner). it would've been perfect there but now i just dont know.

also, because im way too picky:
i plan to put the cafe in between town hall and retail. then police station near town hall. so it can't be on that upper strip.
i also plan to plot all my dreamies below the river and on the left side of the town plaza (kinda where those 2 houses that are close together). as much as i love my dreamies, having them stalk me and my house gets annoying tbh.

so... trying to avoid those two areas. D:

any suggestions would greatly help, ty in advance. <3

If Nook will allow it, I would center your house in that jutting out piece of land to the left of the bridge. (You could always rebuild the bridge elsewhere later if you didn't want it next to your house.)

Not sure if you would like it there, but that is what I would choose for sure! I like when my mayor's house is in a unique spot on the map that looks like it was meant to be, rather than just floating around in a random area.

If you don't like that idea, then maybe to the far right, at the cliff edge below the river? Then you'd have your town's diving area right in your front yard, and could dive into the sea any time you'd like.

I did consider the first option, but then realized it would take up a lot of that area.. i do like how it's nestled in though like you said, rather than in a random spot.

I'm an odd person who like to build it in odd spot for me
And for me is no exception that spot where the bridge is
But that just me
also because of my oddness it will look good both or way of in the other side of the lake close to the bridge to hear the waterfall

And I can totally picture the cafe close to town hall and retail

Oh nice map! I think maybe by the pond, beside the museum, the beach or plaza, near the bridge would look nice too. If all else fails, you can try plotting the house right in the middle xD

I would have said the spot right next to the train station, but since you don't want that, I agree with that cute little wedge of an area on the left of the river. It'd be like your own private land.

<33 when rover showed it to me i almost didn't believe it.
then assumed it'd probably have a fruit besides apple (only one i wanted) or a dreamie already as a resident in a horrible location... nope. i got super lucky.

I stopped on that map twice about a month ago and played half a day when I was starting a new town. =) It took me a week of resetting to settle on a map. I think I'm perhaps a little too picky. =/ Anyhow, I love the map! It was very tempting.
