As a 45 year old woman, one looks back at their life and realizes what you believed at 20 is not what you believe at 30. Who you are at 35 is not who you are at 45.

People grow and learn. Life experiences changes your view on many different levels.

I have a diiferent opinion of this game since the launch. I was against TT and considered it cheating.
The first time I ----TT was over a month ago. I TT to speed up GRACIE GRACE's appearances. I made a mistake and lost a UCHI.

After that incident I vowed to never ever to TT again-----until today.

I am proud to say --- now I am a TT and I will do it again and again and again!!!!

I don't care if the developers at Nintendo think it is cheating!!!!!!!! The developers are morons!!!!!!! The developers think TT is disrespecting their creativity.

The developers are disrespecting my creativity with grass erosion.

Before today both of my towns were 2 huge mud pits. I had very little grass. I came very close to completely shutting down both towns.

Yesterday a very nice forum member gave me many hybrids--I came back to my town and planted them. The flowers did not look good against a mud lawn.

Today I Time Traveled ahead 2 months and then back to present day. I did not lose any villagers and got my grass back.

I don't have 25 years to complete every task and goal in this game.

I am now part of the TT club -- and it feels GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there are forum members out there who are opposed to TT and your town is a big mug pit -- the only way to get back your lawn is by TT.

Go ahead and take the leap -- you will not regret it. Once your lawn is back you will be more inspired about your town.

well, its good your enjoying the game. TT is what it is. depends on your style of play and what you want to do. i've TT'd a bit in NL, i will admit the grass regrowth is nice, but overall i just have one question that lingers in my mind...

... how does grass die so fast for so many? honestly, i run around my town all the time... i've lost little grass from opening day of my town. the brown spots i have now i had day one. i use laid paths, i've lost no grass growth under the tiles either...

I tt but dont like to do it :c

good for you for liking it c:

I hated TT and I still hate it. but with that being said I got sick of the trash can on main street so I had to TT a few times so I can get the fortunes so kat could move in and make it look nice. I semi regret doing it and haven't done any Time traveling anymore but I understand why people do it. While i was TT for the fortunes I did do graci grace twice. But from now on I'm going to let the game time progress forward as normal. The only time that i ever plan on time traveling now is if I end up missing that one last bug or fish that I can't get in the current month il end up in after I'v played the game for a while.

Well, that's nice that you feel that way. I must admit, I felt similar to the way the op did with the past AC games, but that's certainly changed now. c;

the brown spots i have now i had day one. i use laid paths, i've lost no grass growth under the tiles either...

I still have brown spots even if I haven't walked at a particular place in weeks as well. :I

I TT in small doses. If I miss I day, I go back. I TT'd to get my grass back. I TT'd to get a villager in boxes, etc. But on the whole I like to keep to real time as much as I can. But a little TTing? Definitely not cheating. Although, I'll put in my two cents from my experiences of TTing heavily in city folk. I personally found that TTing too much and too casually ruined the game for me. My town did not feel like my town anymore. I don't really know why, but I didn't feel as vested in it anymore. So be careful. :)

My town is called TARDIS. I figure a bit of TT is required. ^_~

I TT'd once to get Gracie over and done. Scared me to death. Haven't done since. I do have another 3DS and set it up and it is now the middle of December. Love it. I don't cycle either. I'd love to find someone in December who has the Bingo snowman but everyone assumes I' cheating.

I've always been a TT-er, ever since the first AC on the Gamecube xD
I used to not care at all and I'd just TT straight to whatever event I wanted to play that day, but now I don't want to lose any of my dreamies, so I only ever TT one day at a time c:
I might eventually go back to playing the game in real time like it was intended, but for now I'll enjoy the fact that it's April 2014 in my town xD

Haha xD
TT is not cheating, ACNL is just a game, let's not forget, so of course you can play it any way you'd like to.

It's not cheating. Especially because Animal Crossing isn't even a competitive game. IMO, competitive games should have specific rules and those shouldn't be broken. Animal Crossing is mostly a single player game for building up your town. Sure, you can trade and visit other people, but for the most part, the game is a single player game and made to be played how you want.

If people want to TT they should, it's their game and they should play it the way they like :D I did it once on accident because I set the date and month wrong. I never do it intentionally

i do it mostly because the game is too slow-paced for me :c

I tt because I LOVE HYBRIDS!!!
I want to have enough for my town and some to go around for others. And since my idea of enough would be to simply fill every available bit of lawn with them, which I don't forsee happening in the near future, I guess I will keep tt'ing. :)

I TT a bit. I did it because of Gracie Grace and sometimes do it because Redd doesn't have any new REAL art for me. But I only re-live the same day over & over & over. I don't go ahead even one day. I don't care if others TT a lot or not, it's their game, they paid for it, play it the way they want. My town is covered in flowers, so I don't see the bare brown spots, but I'm sure they are there.

i'm glad you're happy doing it!! as long as you don't mind then it doesn't matter.

personally, i tt'd excessively in the previous games, to the extent where i was time travelling in years and all the way back. i didn't see it as much of a harm because the only thing i cared about was my house in the game. now i have new leaf, i feel more responsible for my town because it's my own. previously i've always shared a town with my sister, so now i feel like this is my own game, my own responsibility, and my town thing to actually maintain. i now only tt in small doses.

i also tt'd backwards and forwards to get Gracie, and lost my smug Zell in the process. i will never, and i mean never, tt that far again. i also tt'd a month forward accidentally when i was trying to go from the 30th of one month to the 1st of the next, and ended up going a month BACK and then having to go a month forward. i was lucky nothing happened, of course not so lucky to have lost Zell however. honestly, i'll never tt more than 2 (maybe 3 because of going back) days ahead anymore. i'm far too cautious now. plus, it leaves me heavily disorientated. i find it difficult to continue playing for a little bit after time travelling.

I used to TT a lot, for various reasons, one of which was to get Gracie's fashion checks out of the way. To be honest, I really kinda regret doing that, as I ended up speeding through the game too quickly. ^^; I'm working on another town in which I am doing no TT'ing at all, and I like it a lot better this way.

I did it in CF but I found it ruined the game for me, you're entitled to your own opinion ^.^

Thanks for your honesty, OP. I'm 47 and also don't have the time to do every little thing. I TT in small doses so that I can at least shop when I have the time. I also have grass erosion, but not too badly since I have laid tiles down. My hours are so wonky in RL that if I did not fiddle with the clock by a few hours I would NEVER be able to shop or go to the Island at a decent time. :)

I hope you continue to enjoy! I personally think a game should be played the way a player wants to play it. If you (generic) want to TT, fine, if not, fine, too. I don't judge. ;)
