I am so wishing for oranges....

I’m so disappointed with how many times I’ve visited other islands just hoping for oranges.....will they eventually show up or do I have to have a friend who can send me some?

For the random mystery islands with the nook tickets, I believe you only have a rare chance of finding one other type of fruit (I've heard this referred to as your 'sister native fruit'.). Otherwise, you will only typically find your native fruit on those islands. For the others, you'll have to trade. There's a lot of super friendly people here that would be more than willing to trade you some for free, so try asking in the airport boards! I'd trade you myself but I just started over yesterday so I'm still getting things up and running. if you still haven't found any after a few days though, please send me a PM and I'll gladly come drop some off for you

I'm pretty sure foreign fruit does show up. I got pears two times and my native fruit is oranges.

Super rare! I've been to mystery islands I want to say...100 times? I've gotten apples every time but once.

You get one other type of fruit on mystery islands, I am native apples, but I can also find oranges every other island. If you want to find the others, you need to visit other people's islands or your villagers may give them to you!

If you look in the Airport section of the forums there are users who let you visit their towns - I'm sure you could exchange fruits there!
