I am Landscaping a Zen Themed Town, and I though it would be cool to get some new ideas from other people, like what kinds of bushes I should use. Any idea or suggetions would be greatly appreicated, besides, what PWPs to use (although if you have a cool idea of where to place them or place around them is welcome).

Thanks

Maybe since you’re doing a zen themed town you could plant some bamboo and use the zen PWPs like the zen streetlight, zen garden, zen clock, zen bell and zen bench which are all suggested by the cranky villager personality types. I hope you have fun landscaping your town!

All they said ^^ also the wooden bridge, the zen train station remodel, fountain, hot spring, rack of rice, wisteria trellis, geyser, stone tablet.
I?ve seen a cool bamboo forest with walking paths and pink lilies with zen streetlights down the path! Also an area of regular trees for cherry blossoms, and a fruit orchard by the fountain.

All of the above suggestions are great. In addition, I like to pair azalea bushes with bamboo. Their colors match quite well and azaleas can be found all over Asia. I also suggest using different combinations of full grown and cut bamboo. The cut bamboo looks different if you cut it during different stages of growth, so you can play with the different looks to achieve what you want.

For paths, I would keep things fairly natural. Dirt paths, stepping stones, or mossy stones look really nice with the zen theme.

My town, Sakura, is partially zen themed. You're welcome to check out my dream address in my signature if you want.

I use hydrangea bushes in my zen town. And all the zen PWPs, of course. For paths, I've got some cobblestones and zen rock garden QRs. I'm also thinking of putting some water feature QR codes around the town too, like a koi pond or something.
